First mock draft

14 posts in this topic

This is my first post so hopefully I don't make a mess of anything. Anyway, I love a good mock draft so I said I'd give it a go.

1) TENNESSEE TITANS- LAREMY TUNSIL

2) CLEVELAND BROWNS- JALEN RAMSEY

I'm not sold on any of the QBs, so I think they take a future star that can line up anywhere on D

3)SAN DIEGO CHARGERS- DEFOREST BUCKNER

4)DALLAS COWBOYS- JOEY BOSA

5)JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS- MYLES JACK

6) TRADE!!! Ravens deal the 6th overall pick to the Chicago Bears for their 1st and 2nd round picks.

This would be a surprising move but I think its time for the bears to consider moving on from Jay Cutler. So they move in front of the 49ers and draft a guy who is still pretty raw but has the ability to be an elite QB if he is given time. The bears could sit him behind Cutler for the year while he adjusts to the speed of the NFL and eventually takes over.

CHICAGO BEARS- CARSON WENTZ

7)SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS- JARED GOFF

8)MIAMI DOLPHINS- VERNON HARREAVES

9)TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS- SHAQ LAWSON

10)NEW YORK GIANTS -LAQUAN TREADWELL

Probably a bit higher than most people have him but I really like him. Pairing him with OBJ would be too good to pass up

11)BALTIMORE RAVENS- RONNIE STANLEY

I'm sure most of us are fed up with Monroe being injured so we draft a new LT. While I dont like Stanley at 6, hes a fantastic option in this scenario

36)BALTIMORE RAVENS- MACKENSIE ALEXANDER

I think he falls because of his lack of big plays in college and his height. I think he can be an absolute stud beside jimmy and with Fraizer here now I think he can start making some big plays for us

41)BALTIMORE RAVENS- NOAH SPENCE

I think he falls this far and maybe even further. His off the field issues are very worrying but this guy is what we need to be a dominant defense again IMO. Hell get to learn behind two great players and can add some much needed pass rush.

70)BALTIMORE RAVENS- JAYLON SMITH

I think we take a chance here. If Smith can recover fully him and mosley will be an unstoppable force in the middle of the defense.

I'll leave it there because I don't know much about the later prospects but I think something like this could ensure we don't miss the playoff for the next few years.

You really believe we'll get Stanley, Alexander, Spence and Jaylon Smith in our first 4 picks? If this happens it'll be a great draft, but I just don't see it ever happening.

In that scenario with those first five picks, trading back would be a great move to go back to 11 and pick up the 41st selection. I would be surprised if the Bears would pay that high of a price.

I could see any of those players falling to them spots. I know its unlikely that it happens but I do think its possible and I would be targeting these players if it worked out like this. Even if we have to trade up a few spots

Just a heads up the Eagles have the #8 pick now, and Call me crazy but I could really see them taking Stanley.

Thanks just had the wrong team name down but with maxwell gone I think the eagles could use another cornerback

With 2 qbs on the board and Cutler still under a fat deal that will cost them in the future, I'm not sure the bears will be ready to give up a mid 2nd rounder to get a qb that will probably be there anyway.

Gotta think with the Will Hill ordeal that Spence is off the board.

I think it depends on if he fails his drug test at The NFL combine.

With his history I don't think passing a drug test will exactly boost his stock. Of he fails then he goes undrafted but the guys a top 20 talent easily, he may go in the 2nd due to his history and passing a drug test for a party drug that people normally only take on occasion and don't TRULY get addicted to, likely won't be saying much.

The draft process also happens long before these guys get their big money and they are under supervision for a lot of it, he is pretty unlikely to fail this test and the concern sets in after he is drafted and signs his deal and he has all this money and free time between the draft and OTAs. I personally think he will be just fine because ecstasy is a very draining drug that's very hard to get addicted to, and I think in the right environment he keeps his nose clean, I doubt front offices see it this way though.
