Prayers up for Tray Walker

198 posts in this topic

This is my first post and I'll do the full disclosure thing here.  I'm a Steeler fan.  That said, while I really hate the Ravens, as any Steeler fan should I have nothing but respect for your team and how they play.

I sincerely hope the news about Tray Walker is exaggerated and that he makes a recovery.  I'm sorry to hear about the accident and my prayers go out to him and his family.

Thank you, Wig. We feel the same about you guys. Some things are just beyond football. Praying hard for this young man and his family.

Latest update I could find...and it's NOT good news. he is un-responsive after surgery. Keep up the prayer's!! ............. "Right now, it's an hour to hour, day to day thing," Ronald Butler said. "Have to see how he will respond to the surgery he had. It's a very serious situation...He's in intensive care (and) he's fighting for his life."

I read that whole report but missed the unresponsive to surgery bit. Where exactly did you get that part?

We hate you equally if not more, but this is bigger than football. So thank you. Humanity trumps everything else (No pun intended of course).

It was mentioned in the video above the story by the news reporter who said she got that information from Tray's agent, Ellicottraven.  This is a grave situation and it will probably be hour by hour situation for quite a long time going forward.  So devastating to see a young life hanging in the balance.  We just have to trust God and put it in his hands.

RIP to Tray Walker.  Such a shame a young life was taken so soon.  A young guy getting to live out his dream.  It seems like he was very well liked in the locker room, too.

Man, I don't care about the signings and that offseason where we had all the arrests - this is objectively the worst offseason we've had in recent memory.

I feel sick hearing that. It's a real tragedy for a guy living out his dream in the prime of his life and who had so much ahead of him. Knowing he was younger than me hits home even harder.

Times like these are also a really sobering reminder to not [profanity removed] around with stop signs, to keep your lights on and to wear a helmet. Not passing blame either way, but it goes to show that tragedy can strike instantly and it only takes one moment to change everything.

RIP Tray Walker.

My sincerest condolences to the Walker family and to our Ravens family.  So tragic to see a young life gone far too early.

This reminds me of a quote from a card my family received at the death of my mom that said "In his will is our peace." We liked it so much we placed it on her gravestone.  We have to know that God is full of grace and mercy and Tray will suffer no more.  Tray is in God's hands now. Rest in peace Tray.

Agreed.  This one really hit home with me after being in an ATV accident of my own.  I was lucky enough that the ATV had seatbelt.  Makes me realize that some aren't so lucky.

Such an awful, awful situation.
