Well, so much for more kisses from the wife? LOL. Welcome to Baltimore Eric. I love the fact that you are now a Raven, with or without the beard.

Weedle I totally understand your regret. Having been growing my own bear for a close to a year now. The thought of cutting it off comes up once in a while but the reminder of how much time and beard growing went into it makes me pause usually. I ended trying to just trim up the beard a bit, which is probably easier than asking someone else, but I don't trust other with scissors near my beard. I trimmed it myself and it turned out alright, nothing a week or growth wouldn't cover anyways. Second time I made that dreaded mis-cut and had to trim much more off to correct my mishap. The whole process was nerve wracking to say the least. Felt like I lost something special. I guess my point is this, if your going to trim your beard trim it regularly or else the facial hair will go wild and make managing it much more difficult. If you have a somewhat predefined shape it's simpler to use it as a guide, no matter the overall length of your beard. Also for cleaning, I've been using a coconut oil beard shampoo and it works great for keeping the bugs and other treasures out. Lastly your wife may give you more kisses with a clean shaven face, but every woman loves a wild man too.

i was kind of looking forward to the beard running around for us on Sundays but i'm a firm believer of starting new when you move on. he can regrow it since it will be a Bmore beard, not one he brought with him from SD.

Just be whoever you want to be aesthetically, but play like the pro bowl Weddle when you suit up. That's all any body really cares about! Express yourself on the field first and as for off the field, it doesn't matter to us.

He may regret removing the beard but; I sure don't mind not having to look at that ugly thing - at least for awhile. No snark intended. Everyone should do what works for them. Just realize we have to look at you, you don't. Again (JMHO) please skip the phony righteous indignation...

Ms D said cut it bro. Done deal. But he may need it cause we bang people in the mouth in this division and he'll probably need the cushioning. lol

The first time that he sacks #7 on the Steelers (Roethlisberger) or #12 (Brady) on the Patriots on a safety blitz the fans will be screaming loudly from Ocean City, MD to York, PA, welcoming a new era in defense to Baltimore, Eric Weddle.
