People were sold on Flacco since the day he was drafted. The fact of the matter is, he is an average at best QB, who is getting the job done this year but will never put up great numbers. If our defense ever slows up, people are gonna be calling for Joe's job when they realize he cant win us games.

Even if he wins the SB, it will have little to do with him, more to do with our Defense....everyone in B-more is giving this kid more credit than he deserves.

Dont get me wrong,***i like what hes done***, but there are 10 other QBs in the league right now better than him, and bmore fans act like hes GOD and should be in the pro bowl, ROTY, and hey, why even make him wait for the Hall of Fame??? While were at it, lets retire his number!!

PS.
1.)the Cowboys LOVED Tony Romo his first 2 years....right now i would say hes one of the worst starting QBs in the league(def most overrated)
2.) Denver loved Jay Cutler, look at him now, not so great!!
3.) Texans fans loved David Carr
4.) Chicago Loved REX GROSSMAN at the beginning of his career....NEED I SAY MORE!!!!!!!!!

dumbest post ever[/quote]

No actually pretty good insight. Step back and look at from Bengals, Rams, Patroits or a 49ers fans perspective and hold judgement then. I can sit here and say Manning is the greatest QB every but I'm a Colts fan but a Patriot fan will rebuttle me on the greatest QB.

no, I can agree with you as well. Peyton probably is the best at his position in the NFL...maybe not the best player overall, and maybe he doesnt have all the proper components around him, but I think he is the best QB.

I dont think flacco is that bad either. I would rate him in the top 10. Its not just about personal production btu about what you do to allow your team to win the game. If your defense is dominating, and even scoring, all you have to be worried about is not turning the ball over.

Whether or not he shows it, this young man has been under tremendous pressure from week one playing the most demanding position in a high-speed, violent game with the biggest, fastest dudes on the planet. Sure, he has stepped into a good situation, but I doubt that there are many 23 year-olds who could have performed as well as he no matter how physically gifted they are. As far as where he ranks among NFL signal-callers it's too early too say, but I'm sure there are a number of other clubs who'd be thrilled to have him!
