Because you're a Steelers fan.

haha. Just kidding.

I might not agree with everything you've said, but it seems like you try to be reasonable [as reasonable as any of us can be with the natural bias of loving a team and wanting to support them, just as we Ravens fans do.]

Prophet...you should know to ignore the <idiots> around here. It's like that everywhere on the net...can't tell if someone is just trying to get under your skin or not. Like you said most of the insults are a result of you being a Steeler fan, not the point of your post.

The original post was 1000000% right. If the offense cannot get it together and put some points up, it will be a Steeler's blowout. The no turnovers or sacks argument is not the point...last time I checked, having no turnovers/sacks is not posted as a final score. If the Titans had won, not one of you would be saying "but we had no sacks and turnovers...so it's ok!"

To all the new fans, PROPHET is a good member. He has been on here for a long time and has offered his great opinions and input about the Steelers. Just because he is a Steelers fan don't let that fool you, he is alright. He is really only one of the Steelers fans that I can stand. :)

People were sold on Flacco since the day he was drafted. The fact of the matter is, he is an average at best QB, who is getting the job done this year but will never put up great numbers. If our defense ever slows up, people are gonna be calling for Joe's job when they realize he cant win us games.

Even if he wins the SB, it will have little to do with him, more to do with our Defense....everyone in B-more is giving this kid more credit than he deserves.

Dont get me wrong,***i like what hes done***, but there are 10 other QBs in the league right now better than him, and bmore fans act like hes GOD and should be in the pro bowl, ROTY, and hey, why even make him wait for the Hall of Fame??? While were at it, lets retire his number!!

PS.
1.)the Cowboys LOVED Tony Romo his first 2 years....right now i would say hes one of the worst starting QBs in the league(def most overrated)
2.) Denver loved Jay Cutler, look at him now, not so great!!
3.) Texans fans loved David Carr
4.) Chicago Loved REX GROSSMAN at the beginning of his career....NEED I SAY MORE!!!!!!!!!

We never said he should be in the pro bowl or hall of fame. He is having an exceptional Rookie season, especially compared to some Great QB'S ie: Manning. He is the first Rookie to win 2 playoff games in a row and I really don't know what you are complaining about. So what he had a little rough start and threw for slightly under 3000 yards for a rookie. Who is "we" to you?

No not bitter since we won in '06, but what does class have to with my last post.
This is going to be an exciting game to watch and I do not like the Steelers so I'm pulling for the Ravens...

I'm not disappointed with the offense, but the offensive coordinator. They HAVE to take the handcuffs off of Joe Flacco if we are going to win this week. 8 passes in the entire first half of an extremely close game? With only 49 total yards rushing all game??? Let the boy throw the ball. I'd rather lose big by Flacco throwing then lose small by not. If we use the same basic gameplan as last week, we lose.

I think Flacco is going to be a great QB and I'm glad you guys finally have one. After watching my Steelers all year I finally know what it was like being a Ravens fans all these years. Having one of the best defenses in the league every year, but having to pray that your offense doesn't give it away is not good on the old ticker and makes for too many close games. Flacco has a great arm, and will get better as he learns how to read and react to the opposing defenses. I just remember Big Ben in his rookie year, he was solid all year, but in the AFC Championship game he turned back into a rookie pretty quick. The magnitude of that game got to him. If Flacco can keep the ice in his veins that have been there all year, he should be fine this weekend. The coaching staff has done a good job not putting him in the position to lose the game, so I would think he'll do fine. Rregardless of what happens this weekend, be proud Ravens fans, you finally have a real QB.

You must be wearing blinders if you can't see that Flacco is the real deal for the Ravens. He has a cannon arm and is totally unflabble in game play. He is also the first rookie QB to post two wins in the playoffs with both away games. Flacco deserves all the credit that our fans are giving him. Too bad he didn't receive any votes for rookie of the year. NFL was blinded by Matt Ryan and ignored Joe

i'm not sure improve is the right word. i wonder if Cam really does trust Joe. He needs to take the wraps off Joe. One pass on first down vs tenn was ridiculous. the steelers
backfield can be had. get Joe in a rythym early and give us a chance to put 7's on the board. use Rice in the passing game. GO RAVENS
It's hard to improve when you don't make any mistakes. Flacco has to deal with whatever situation Cam is putting him and he makes the most of it. The 50 yard TD strike he made came on 3rd and 14 i believe. He doesn't get sacked, he's not throwing picks. Cam just needs to smarten up and fix the playcalling. Running the ball up the middle twice to set up a 3rd and long is not the most brilliant idea, nor does it help us get some first downs. This is virtually the same offense we ran 5 years ago with Matt Cavanaugh, and just thinking about that guy gives me a headache. Let Flacco make some plays, don't treat him like a baby.

And yeah, Pittsburghs offense looked good. They played one of the worst defenses in football so that's no surprise.
I agree the ravens need to step their game up on offense but that's going to be hard to do if Ray Rice don't play. Since he got hurt we have become a one dimensional offense. The ravens are relying mostly on runs up the middle and throwing the long ball against man coverage. With Rice not playing they haven't ran the ball to the outside as much. We miss his versatility. Rice also was our receiving back, and with McGahee and McClain dropping balls out of the back field, our offense isn't as explosive without him. I mean we're force to throw screen plays for Neal for crying out loud. Rice is a Brian Westbrook type back, and we're going to need him to advance to the Super Bowl. This is not the time of year to hold back. John Harbaugh and Cam need to go all out in this game, especially considering the injuries we had against the Titans. The Steelers are the fresher team and this is going to be another physical game, so the offense and special teams is going to have to keep the defense off the field. Let's hope Rice is healthy enough to be effective in this game because if he's not it's going to be another one of those games like the one against Tennessee last week and we all know it's going to be a lot of penalties in this game and the ones that can go either way is going to go to the Steelers because they are more beloved to everyone else, including the refs, than the Ravens are.

who cares... we dont need flacco to be a tom brady or a peyton manning... what we need flacco to do is not throw the ball and make plays when he has to... Thats whats hes done all year and in the playoffs.. his stats arent amazing but he makes plays to win us the game... Look at the tenn. game.. he drove downt he field to get us into position for the winning FG.... the guy can only get better as our O gets better...

I think Flacco has been not great but fine, not turning the ball over is half the battle *cough* Delhomme

Our play calling I think needs to improve. We need Rice in there if he's healthy, for sure, plus I still don't get why we don't do tricks, gadgets or Suggs Packages with tougher opponents. Yes, it's a bigger gamble against better defenses, but points will be scarcer. Although Joe has been pretty good converting third downs, we struggled last game just converting 3 of 13. If I were Cam, I'd call for a pass on our first play from scrimmage, to show them we mean business and we're not afraid to unleash Joe B)

The ravens need to put the Suggs package in a little bit more then they have in recent history! We need to keep there good defense guessing. Pull out all the tricks because if we win Sunday we WILL win the super bowl!

He is a rookie. OF COURSE there are better QB's in the league than him. Give him time to progress. There's no way to tell right now so there is no use arguing about it. Wait and see. I'll tell you this he's won more games than Kyle Boller could have. And Kyle had YEARS with this D.

What? How can you possibly say that he will not put up great numbers.? This is his first year. Most rookie QB's, even the ones that eventually put up great numbers, did not look as good as Flacco looks right now. He is no Tom Brady, right now, but I see nothing that says he can't eventually be.

They need to get to the outside when they run the ball. These dives up the middle aint cuttin it right now. McClain cant do that, McGahee can if he is healthy, and Ray Rice is the best back for this

Ravens faithfull! Lets not forget what got us here and how far we've come this season. No one in this town gave us a shot to be more than 6-10. We are the underdogs as usual (thank you media) and thats when we play our best football. The offense didn't play well against the Titans, but we did what was necessary to get the "W." Remember we did play the best team in the AFC off two weeks rest and beat them at home. If that doesn't hold water then I don't know what does. The Steelers beat the Chargers that barely pulled out a .500 record. Wooohoo! We beat a team that dominated the AFC in the PLAYOFFS. Steeler fans need to remember how badly the Titans beat them for home field advantage throughout the Playoffs. The Ravens have there work cut out for them this weekend and what better way to get into the superbowl but by beating the Steelers at home in the AFC Championship. If we lose this weekend then we shouldn't be ashamed at all. We beat the odds this year and now we finally have a REAL quarterback. I'll take that any year! This year has been one of the most exciting years in Ravens history. So live it up, cheer them on, and lets leave it all on the field Sunday.

LETS GO FLACCO
LETS GO LEON (#36) thats next chant we need to start.
