What Grocery store do you shop ?

Here where i live Publix sucks. I would like Giant Food company to buy Publix. Giant Food has the best customer service when i shop in Baltimore. They have a Deli Klosk where you can order pick it up and go. Not to mention i love those self checkout counters.

Redrum where i live in south Florida Publix doesn't have a Deli Klosk or self checkout counters. This idiot cashier ask me if i want to buy a personal bag. If customer wants a nice bag they pick it up. Otherwise just put the groceries in the plastic bag and pay your total. Sometimes cashiers will ask you for a donation. Thats annoying! it should be illegal too. Thats why i like self checkout counters computers don't ask for those things. And those Deli Klosks you can never get your order wrong.

Publix Is operated in Florida,Georgia,Alabama,South Carolina,Tennessee,North Carolina and Virginia. Just imagine if Publix Company merger with Giant Food. Giant would become the largest supermarket is the eastern Atlantic coast.

The only Publix I've shopped at is in Marathon. My wife and I go there whenever we are in the Keys. They always have the best cuts of beef at a reasonable price.  mmmmmmm.........Fla tenderloin gooood.

Aldi is great if they have what you need, VERY affordable. Publix is a tad on the expensive side but here where I live, they are first class operations.

Wal-Mart and Aldi is good. But they are driving distance from where i live. Wal Mart is a 10-15 minute drive. Aldi is around 10 minute drive But Publix is just around the corner. Thats why i hope Publix merge with Giant so i don't have to waste gas.

Fun fact. Wegmans is cheaper on 70% of what we buy at a grocery store over Wal-Mart. Often by a lot.

Produce,  meats and stuff Wegmans is a bit more expensive,  but the quality is SIGNIFICANTLY better .

Giant is owned by Royal Ahold who also owns Stop and Shop, a lot of us here said it went downhill when that company bought it.  I go to Safeway in Rockville in the basement of the Galvin Apartments.  Its an improvement from the Loehman's Plaza store it replaced and has a Starbucks and a fan shop with Ravens and Redskins stuff albeit a little on the expensive side.  Although they are cutting back on open checkouts, and its becoming the new "Safewait".

Costco. Freaking cheap. $50 for five steaks that are actually of good quality when at a typical steakhouse it costs me $50 just for one? Plus the pizza and chicken bakes?

I miss Giant though. Safeway sucks. And since I'm in Boulder all I've got is a Sprouts(a more expensive version of whole foods), and whole foods.... Damn organic people.

We take several cases of bottled water and soda because it cheaper here.

I love Costco, but none at all nearby. Honestly, main reason I like Giant is because, at least the ones in my area, they're usually very clean. Nothing I hate more than going into a store and seeing filthy floors or products sloppily thrown on the shelves...ugh

I agree with Giant. I get customer service satisfaction and Its clean all around and their self checkout counters is cool. Thats why i hope Giant takes over Publix someday.  Plus St Lucie county needs Costo. They already have Sams and BJs

Agree with this. Done my weeks shop in a publix when I was over
