At least we got about an hour to overreact.

Maybe we need to have a little more faith in the FO.  Alternatively, maybe they could have let the suspension news break before they cut him.

Now that we know the reason for the release of Will Hill, can we now release Kendrick Lewis for the reason that he's terrible and isn't going to start for us. This would sort of complete the process of clearing up the logjam we had at safety, and would also let us possibly draft one too. Also, 1M in cap space won't hurt either.

I'd prefer little more faith. Myself included.

It's a pity - I like Hill as a player.

Definitely late to this party and just finished reading every page (yeah, go figure). TOTALLY disappointed in Hill, but he deserved it. Stupidity man, stupidity. If Lewis is still on the team when the season starts, he better be an All-Pro.

His career is probably over.

I don't know if I'd go that far but he probably won't play this coming season, maybe he can get the minimum next offseason from some desperate team.

Extremely dissapointed and sad about this news.

Hope Terrence Brooks can become the starting SS.

Absolutely disgusted. The 3M saving isn't worth losing a player like Hill. Sure he's had his ups and downs but this is just absurd. Look at the blue print of the best safety duo, it's Thomas and Chancellor! You need a big thumper who can come up in run support and stick TE's. This is like the 2014 Seahawks releasing Chancellor so they can start Thomas and Thurmond at safety.

Lewis has been trash, Elam has been trash, Webb hasn't earned what we're paying him... yet you cut the 25 year old safety who's still getting better and has the size and physicals that you can't coach. This is such a stupid move, Hill will be starting in 2016 for somebody and I wouldn't be surprised if he has a tremendous year while Webb struggles.

I think Ozzie is owed an apology, I will admit I was upset at the move but now I see. I was going to rant here but I did suspect something was behind Will HIll's release and it makes sense now. Sorry Oz.

The FO handled the whole thing poorly. Release him and say that he's getting suspended. Don't try to make it seem like a money move when we have far worse contracts on the books.

Everyone here is trying to justify the release when any sane individual knew it was a bad move money wise and talent wise.

I really don't think Will Hill was going to return in 2017 and I think the Ravens had their doubts. The guy was suspended for 10 games after a season ago he was suspended for the 6 games. He was on a final warning and he blew it.

I want to personally apologize to the FO. I freaked out at first but now I understand. Disappointed at Hill though. Thought he had moved on and grown.

Makes sense. Maybe Hill slipped Boyle his PEDs! Lol

lol I'm sure it's the last thing the FO wanted to see after Boyle's suspension. Makes much more sense now. It's very disappointing but this one is on Hill.

I feel for Hill. He needs help. Not only did he hurt his chances at ever playing in the NFL again, but he also hurt the Ravens as a whole.

The team hasnt had/said an official statement on his release yet. Just that he was cut.

It says substance abuse which is even worse, seen him on Instagram with those pot leaf socks and I had a feeling he was still smoking from time to time. Wasting the opportunity of a life time, if he wanted to do that he can wait until he retires and smoke until his hearts content, you have to be such a knucklehead to do it when you know there is random drug testing and your career is on the line with a failed test already on your record.

And by the time he retires it'll probably be entirely legal too
