I'm just as shocked as you all, think he comes back on a lesser deal or he's as good as gone? Really thought they would have cut Kendrick Lewis over Hill

I'm not so sure this was the right move. The guy played hard, hit hard and resurrected his career here. And he doesn't cost as much as Webby. PFF noted that the combination of Hill and Weddle would be awesome ( not that it means much, but still...).

I don't like it, but I'm not surprised. They clearly love Webb back there.

I'm not surprised either. I don't see how Lewis is still here. He must be a cat or something. Dude has nine lives. I thought he was way worse than Hill. I'm guessing maybe the team didn't think Will Hill was good for chemistry? That's my best guess.

I dont know why...maybe he comes back with less money idk?

I liked him more than Webb. Unless they completley sold on Webb and Lewis.

Lewis probably because cap savings are minimal and we know he can play in a pinch. Harbaugh noted he got confident and better as the year went on.

In regards to Hill, I think he got caught looking in the backfield too much for their liking. I know PFF grades him well, but I know for sure a few times where he was late providing help over the top because his eyes were glued to the backfield.

I still think he has value, but if I had to make a guess, that would be why.

Not a fan of the move, but I said it was possible in the Weddle thread.  Webb is the FS and considering Weddle has 1 INT in two seasons but is a sure tackler, he will probably end up as the SS

It's evident to me that Lewis must giving out free back massages on game day to John Harbaugh and Ozzie Newsome so he can stick around.

This makes no sense. There has to be something more to this right?!? Weddle and Hill would have been an elite safety duo now we're stuck with inconsistent old man Webb and the terrible Kendrick Lewis. So pissed

Was it really worth 3 million? We have asked this dude to turn his life around we give him a two year extension last season, dude has been the one bonefied baller in our backfield for the past two years... And now he's cut... Yea there's some upside to the cut in terms of cap... But I mean out of all the people we could have cut we cut will? I don't get this one

I don't care if Harbaugh said he got more confident or not--Lewis just sucked man. He was horrible the entire year. I don't think he ever got better. I don't care about the PFF grades at all. I don't think it makes sense to keep Lewis over Hill even if Lewis' cap savings are nominal. Lewis isn't good. That's like paying $10 for a hamburger and throwing it away because you got this McDonald's $1 menu burger on the side because they foolishly put mustard or something on the $10 burger when you told them not to do it. It's still a fine burger and yet you're going to keep the $1 menu burger around? C'mon man.

I think it's probably chemistry related with the secondary. That's the only explanation that makes sense. They must not like his attitude or something, and you're right about him looking in the backfield but he still made plays and covered well enough. Shutdown Jimmy Graham.

I am having different degrees of emotion. Initially it was shock. Then anger and frustration. Now I am just dejected. After bringing Weddle in, why let Hill go?
