Weddle was a replacement for the bad draft pick Elam and Mike Wallace is replacement for Torrey Smith (2015) 663 yards 4TD to Mikes 473 2TD.but lets praise Ozzie & Ravens anyway.Retracing your steps is not moving forward.i.e becoming better.

the only guy in Minnesota that put up more than Wallace was Diggs, and he only got 720 and 4.
Vikings dont throw the ball, NO receiver can be successful in that system.

I didn't even consider letting Upshaw go to cancel out the Weddle signing but that seems like a smart move, though Upshaw hasn't exactly gotten a lot of attention so far. I largely agree with Zrebec, all 4 of our signings so far - Weddle, Wallace, Wright, and Watson (that's a lot of Ws) - are first class but Wallace is not a long term solution at WR, Watson is only staying for a year or two at his age, Wright played well at the end of last year but there's no telling how he'll do moving forward and depth is still a must, Weddle was a big and did cancel out our need for a safety which was a need, although I don't think was a big one. Great signings but we are in dier need for oline depth, I hope a signing will come there soon - just depth, I'm not advocating we shell out for someone.

I agree. I think that we are in a good position to use our normal FA strategy and pick up good players that get cut while using the draft to find some good depth/potential starters in the early rounds. I've been really excited by our FA moves this year.

This year they had no choice but to make moves like this, is it really shocking to splash a bit when a winning franchise parked on dumpster st for a year. If moves wasn't made and we lost again the hammer was coming down. So I'm not shocked one bit but I am once again excited for the draft and Ravens football season.

please they ALWAYS rebound even with out the so called "splash"

IMO pass rusher and CB are the immediate needs, O-line then D-line, lineman are always a need for most teams. I think the trenches are the most important part of a NFL franchise besides the QB.

Well, this may lend a lot of sense to it, right?

lol yeah. clears that right up.
welp...
smh

Gotta wonder when the FO learned about the suspension and whether the Weddle signing óhad anything to do with it...

So why did Vagas go from 30 to 1 to 40 to 1 odds on SB?

Maybe because other teams got better, ie the Pats

I'm afraid the Ravens will never beat the Pats until Brady is gone now. It took all they had the last time to get past them. This coming draft is CRITICAL for the future of the Ravens.

If there's one team the Patriots are afraid of, it's us. They know that if it's us vs them in the playoffs, there is no guarantee that they are walking out as the winner. We can beat them. I don't think we have as many holes as the media is selling. I think we are building a team capable of pushing deep into the playoffs and hopefully win it all. I think this draft will seal the deal for generations to come.

Draft Elliott from Ohio State with #6 pick an let some of those young Db's get some play, I think we would be scary team to face in the playoffs. Am i dreaming or is this really possible? In Ozzie we trust, and solute to Decosta.

Cowboys have picked before the Ravens. I wanted Zack Martin in 2014 and Cowboys got him on a coin flip. Ravens did get Mosley though. Last year the Cowboys took CB Byron Jones right after the Ravens took Perriman. I've been hearing Elliot linked to the Cowboys. Fine with me. Myles Jack could still be on the board, unless the Browns don't draft a QB. Ravens need LB's. I'm also fine with Sua Cravens in the 2nd round. Too small for a LB but could play at Safety. Besides Weddle, what do the Ravens have? Especially at SS. Elam? Ravens have Arthur Brown at ILB now. Upshaw? If he leaves, at least the Ravens will get a 3rd round comp pick.
