hope either wallace or perriman will be complete receivers and not one dimensional. i want to see one of them especially perriman because he is younger go over the middle and be physical like boldin was. last thing this team needs are deep only threats. sss is no longer an every down player so someone else needs to get there hands dirty.

I was talking to one of the Steeler fans at work.. he said Tomlin called Wallace a "one trick pony".   Hey, if that trick is catching Joe's long balls.. I take that pony anytime.

I've never been more excited then I've been this off season so far. Weddle , Watson and now Wallace. 3 vets to play player coaches and what this does to both sides of the ball is pretty exciting. With Pitt losing Bryant and Bell injury prone and the Bungles losing some players. Ravens will be right there licking their chops. Great signings now lets hit a home run in the draft and have a great training camp. New grass field , players back with a chip , some new blood. I smell a big season upon us.

exactly. It's the one trick we've been missing :)

I can't remember the last time the Ravens were this active with quality free agents and it may actually be the first time it has happened. I think that in the meeting that occurs with the decision makers in Florida, Mr Bisciotti must have made it clear that there were not be any excuses after last seasons 5-11 record and these are the actions of a team that clearly plan on winning THIS year. At this point I don't think anyone is looking past this year or the repercussions of some of their actions. In reality, there may be no repercussions but we won't know that til next year but there is no doubt, this team plans on winning and winning a lot this year.

SSS looked like an every down player to me, over the last 2 years.

Classic Espn and NfL network, they never show the ravens any love, absolutely no talk about wallace or weddle, no breaking news, no debate about what a better team this makes us lol nothing

My take is that management feels we have a 2 year window to win a championship. This year have a stellar draft and be set with the young guys in 2 years to continue. IF we can stay healthy we already know we'll have a easier schedule and that will make a huge difference. I think Pitt and Cincy have gotten weaker. I smell a bounce back season in a big way.

So was Torrey, that one trick is exactly what we need, 9 route to take the top off the defense and stretch the field.

I still wouldn't mind picking up Randle, He has youth, speed and good hands, I hope Wallace proves to be worth the 5.5 mil. He definitely could learn from Sr and Wallace. I think Perriman and Aiken will benefit a lot from Wallace being around as well.

This is a good signing seeing as this years draft has no WR that can help us since everyone is so slow

The young kid Fuller out of Notre Dame is the fastest wideout in the draft... think he ran a 4.33... he wouldn't be a pick in the 2nd round... but now we don't really need a reach for one even though I do like Coleman from Oregon or the slot WR Shepard

he was gassed by the 4th qtr on several occasions unless he took some drives off

Kamar will eventually become the possession WR of the future here in Bmore... he thrived once he stop running the Torrey route's and started running underneath stuff... he has strong hands... and competes on every snap... he was one of the only bright spots last season..

Let the buyer beware! One trick pony.

Thats what we need. Let SSS, Aiken, Watson, Gilmore, and Williams work inside. Maybe even a little bit of Camp if he can stay healthy. Perriman and Wallace will take the tops off defenses. They can do more than just catch deep balls to. Our WR group just got better today.

Who says you can't buy W's? Ravens bought Watson, Weddle, Wallace. Hoping that means Ravens have just bought the W's that matter - WINS!

It is nice to have that speedy deep threat now in Wallace, but I hope we can put together an offensive line that will give those deep routes time to develop. I just worry about our o-line.

Steelers played vertical for years and had plenty of success. Eagles too.

this aversion to fast receivers and vertical passing doesnt make any sense.

all the talk at the end of last year was that we had a solid foundation... just lacked a couple playmakers to get us over the top on all of those 1 score games... we'll we've added 2 now. Wallace is not a #1, and he might drop some passes, but the dude can make splash plays, something we desperately needed after last year

I see the ravens taking Buckner no matter if Bosa is there or not. Wallace and Weddle are BIG fixes for the team. Quality play makers on both sides of the ball. The last two pieces of need are LT, Guard and DE. Buckner is the clear choice for a 6th pick. He replaces Canty which is the bigger need because Monroe is still a quality LT. The monster front three of Jerrigan, Williams and Buckner will be to much for Ozzie to pass up. Welcome to the team Mike. You made the draft that much easier and with Flacco's arm I see a bright future for you in Baltimore.

Absolutely. Because we lacked a vertical threat, Aiken suffered as he was forced to play a role that didn't suit him. With Wallace (and hopefully Perriman) being the vertical threat, Aiken will be able to play more to his strength.
