Welcome To Baltimore Mike Wallace

Wallace and Perriman will be great threats on the perimeter, allowing Aiken, SSS, and the TE's to work the middle of the field. This could turn out to be a great signing.

Watching his press conference now. Seems really excited to be apart of the team. Has a lot of respect for Flacco. Ozzie, Eric, Steve and Harbs weren't going to let him leave today without a deal.

Harbaugh looks exhausted. Get some rest, coach. You've earned it after the great offseason we've had thus far.

I like this move. I wish the contract was a little cheaper, but we needed a WR. Our team is going to be stacked after the draft.

Knew it would get done. Doesn't have to be the number one guy. Just opens things up for us all over the field especially if Perriman is able to come in and help take the top off of a defense as well.

Now let's get a pass rusher, add some depth to the offense line, and get someone next to Mosley.

I don't think anyone will ever call me a homer but to borrow a baseball term, Ozzie and the front office are raking!!!!

Great offseason spending with the three acquisitions. No beef at all with the dollars invested. Looking forward to the rest of the offseason.

What a difference an offseason makes...

EOY last year our receiving corps was Aiken, Givens, Butler, Brown and our TEs were Maxx and Boyle... let that sink in

Now to start the year we have created a corps of SSS, Aiken, Wallace, Perriman, and probably an early round draft pick along with Ben Watson and Gilmore... wow.

Joe's arm and those 4 guys lining up... how do you defend that consistently? 2 legit deep threats in the vein of dare I say pittsburgh's WR model... run far, run fast

This is probably the best offense Joe's ever had to work with. All we need now is a LT and Joe should feel elated.

Steeler fans having a bad week. They wanted Weddle bad and many liked the idea of getting Wallace & Ben back together after losing Bryant for the year. Awesome!

Welcome to Bmore. Stretch the field, make some plays and get some PI calls.

Smith-Aiken-Wallace-Perriman-Camp

Still skeptical of our core and hope we're not done yet.

I like this signing decent low price deep threat with still some left in the tank, people seem to forget that while he didn't live up to a 60m contract he still had 2 solid years in Miami in offenses he didn't really fit in. I think he could flourish here as long as he keeps his ego in check.

I truly believe Flacco throws best deep ball in the league. Remember Jacoby Jones and Torrey Smith seemingly making at least one 50 yard completion game?

Anyways, we got Perriman and Wallace as deep threats to take the top off the defense. Perriman's 40 yard speed is in the 4.2s which is disgusting for a 6'2 guy.

We got SSS and Aiken for intermediate and contested catches.

Campanaro is a shifty prototypical slot guy.

And our TEs are going to be great going over the middle and picking up first downs.

I am fairly certain someone has said this during each of the past couple off seasons.

May be the WR's are better, but the OLine certainly is no where near last year.

Still need to kill the draft. Too many injury prone guys along the line. Doesn't matter how many perceived weapons there are if your QB is running for his life every pass.

i thought the price was high too, but hope he light it up with January JOE, i hope its a incentive heavy deal to prove himself. now we need to focus on pass rushers and OL

I know some thought it ridiculous that br.com writers were saying that Ozzie had come through on his promise that we'd be very active in FA this year, after having only signed Watson.

I think they can safely write that article now, with Weedle and Wallace having been picked up.

Pretty expensive but that's been the WR market this offseason (see Mohamed Sanu). Hope he produces well, $5.5M per year is a little steep for what I'm expecting.

I agree with all of this. A little steeper than what I was expecting, but I don't think we have any other major plans for FA, so as long as we can sign the draft class and have a little space left for emergency signings I guess it's not a huge difference.

Overall I'd say FA was effective, but not flashy for us. Which is exactly what you want when you're a contender that's tight against the cap (and yes, I think we can get back into contention this season).

The injection of speed coming into this offense with Wallace and Perriman this year is going to be huge, 2 guys with LEGIT 4.3 speed!

Trestman loves his vertical threats, you now have 2 guys that can put safeties on their heels and make them think twice about cheating up in coverage/run support. Even the CB's can't sit on underneath routes on them, they always have to respect the speed of those 2 to flat out run by them and realize they have a QB with a cannon arm. Flacco is going to love being able to let it fly again with these 2 burners on the field. I also love that we have SSS/Aiken and the TE's who can work the underneath, we can hurt you from anywhere in the passing game.

So I'm gonna ask, does Flacco finally hit 4,000 passing yards with this offense?

With all these new weapons I think he will easily. Wallace, Perriman, Watson are all important pieces for this offense. Carson Palmer threw for 4,600 coming off an ACL tear this year. I think Flacco has a big in year in store for him, those ACL's aren't nearly the big deal they used to be, especially for a pocket passer like Joe.

Trestman is a pass-happy OC. Even, if he forces himself to run more, he'll still will make Joe throw plenty. With Wallace, Smith and Aiken we atleast have some, albeit ageing, weapons to throw the ball to. If BP turns out to be good, he and Wallace will improve Joes YPA greatly. Flacco finally will be able to use his main weapon more often, the deep ball, which should change our offense.

What's the bet he end up with 3958 yards and gets benched in Week 17 or something.

Flacco has SSS. I would actually take our current WR group over Arizona's, just have to stay healthy.
