New Mock Draft With Trades

10 posts in this topic

New Mock.

What I think we should do.

1. Trade back with the Rams for their first, 2 2nds, and a 5th.

1st Round - Leonard Floyd - OLB - UGA

I think Leonard Floyd would flourish in our system. He was great when he was used as a pass rusher the first year at georgia. Then they tried to make him an ILB/OLB combo and didn't have him rush nearly as often. I think getting him back to pass rushing will be the best for his skill set.

2nd Round Ours - Will Jackson - CB- Houston

I like him a lot. I think he would be a good outside fit. Has the ball skills we desperately need as well.

2nd Round 1st Rams - Trade to any team for a first next year.

Hear me out. We have an abundance of picks. As always. I want another one next year. We trade away this early second round pick this year and get a 1st next year. Win - Win

2nd Round 2nd Rams - Sterling Shepherd - WR- Oklahoma

Love him. He is very strong, I think he will be a great receiver no matter where he ends up, but on use would be even better. Though I think the addition of Sterling means the end of Camp if he doesn't stay healthy.

3rd Round - Germain Ifedi - OT- Texas A&M

I like his feet a lot. He definitely needs some coaching but I think he could do very well in our system. I see him like Kelechi. A college OT that can move inside and become great.

4th Round - Jaylon Smith - ILB- Notre Dame

Total Flyer. I mean we take a chance on him. If it works out great. If not, it's a fourth round pick.

4th Round - Max Tuerk - C - USC

Projects really well. I think he can get stronger, learn for a year or 2, and eventually start

4th Round Comp - Cardale Jones - QB- Ohio State

Give him a chance. Maybe he beats out Mallet, if not, Practice squad.

5th round - Cyrus Jones - CB/KR - Alabama

I like him as a KR. Plays with swagger. I think he challenges Clay for the job.

6th round - Anyone

Honestly at the end, we have so many players at so many positions that we are gonna have some tough cuts. I know the draft will not go close to this mock, but I think this addresses most positions of need and makes us a lot stronger.

Rams would not trade twin round2 picks and a round1!! Be happy with an additional round2 and some change maybe like a round 4.  That itself would be awesome for the ravens!!

Obviously this would be nice, but just not very realistic.  More of a fantasy football/ madden style.

I think we could at least get a 2nd round this year and a 2nd round next year from them.

The trade down and players i would like to see ravens draft are trade back and get an extra round2. Then draft Spence,Nkemdiche,Jones and Demarcus Robinson in round4. If ravens do not land a left tackle in free agency I would trade a 2017 pick for a left tackle or even trade a 2017 Round 1 for a pick this year in round2 for a left tackle like Coleman,Beavers,Spriggs or Ifedi. I know it would suck giving up a 2017 round1 but landing Spence,Nkemdiche,Jones,Robinson and a strong athletic tackle would be a monstrous draft. That would be 5 pro bowl caliber players in a single draft!! Put the ravens back on the map. Picking up Spence and Nkemdiche would allow Ravens to trade Dumervil and get a draft pick in return while he is worth something. He may have a good 2016 but so what!!  Would prefer to turn him into a young stud player while it can. If you wait til he sucks then the ravens will not get Jack in return for him besides used up salary cap space!!

correct, this years first and one of their 2nd's along with a 4th is a pretty even trade.

I mean it would require some real medical work before a team draft Jaylon.

It could be a Lattimore type of injury.

At the end of the day, top 3 pick is fantasy imo. Like Joey pointed out a few times, he doensn't engage blocker. He still good at it but when he engages, he's a magnet and can't get out. When untouched he's very very good. So I beliebe he would be better playing a mike in a 4-3 with 2 big DTs

doubt jaylon smith falls to round 4.

dude could have been a top 3 pick before his injury.

You'd probably be surprised, then.

Remember, Marcus Lattimore, a very likely first round pick, fell all the way to the fourth round and even then, people said he only got picked that high because the 49ers were so deep. Aaron Colvin, a possible top 20 pick, fell to the fourth round because he would miss his entire rookie season with a torn ACL. Ifo Ekpre-Olamu, widely viewed as the top senior corner available, had a major tear in his ACL and knee dislocation that cost him his entire rookie season and he fell all the way to the seventh round.

It's sounding increasingly more likely that Smith misses his entire rookie season, so he's already probably out as a first round pick, and even then, he probably won't go on day two because it sounds like there's some pretty good nerve damage and nerves don't reproduce quickly, so this could be a lifelong injury/

I would substitute Trevone Boykin for Cardale Jones......I don't watch much college football but I do see Ohio state enough to know Cardale Jones is no QB. mechanics are terrible and cannot read the field at all. The team around him made him look good.

Trevone Boykin fits the Ozzie late round QB who can do damage with his feet (Smith ,TT, vick etc....), only thing to downgrade him is the off field issue of striking a Police officer. Boykin was infinitely more successful than Jones throughout his career. kinda fits the Russell Wilson mold only without the brainpower of Wilson.
