[News] Why Benjamin Watson Chose The Ravens

12 posts in this topic

I love this signing, too! Another high-character veteran presence in the locker room who can produce on the field, if only for a year or two, while mentoring the younger guys. I think Crockett and Maxx are the future, but Watson solidifies the present. Welcome to Baltimore!

His words show why the Ravens are class! We can bring in just about any FA but, why does it seem so hard to keep our own players again? OH yeah, they go on to HUGE contracts and usually do not meet up to that demand!

Well, c'mon- Watson's community work has absolutely nothing to do with Ozzie's decision. "Character", generally, is only a major consideration when it's seen as a potential problem...

I'd say we balanced both in our decision. Especially since we want a more balanced veteran leadership

Well, maybe. I'd guess they considered both, but not equally.
