[News] Who's Out There 2016? Pass Rushers

22 posts in this topic

Nick Perry shows flashes and being that he would be behind Suggs and Dumervil to learn... he may be a good fit if the price was right! I also thing the B.Warner has not yet reached his full potential and again learning behind Suggs and Doom he could be a great addition. Sam Acho out of Chicago is also available and would probably make a bigger impact right now!

Aldon Smith is ALL PRO talent... but he has those "issues"

What would Ayers cost? Too much probably coming off 10 sack season.

Other guys just dont interest me.. I know Perry cause he played for packers my 2nd team. Hes not a difference maker.
Gilbury is interesting because hes good pure pass rusher, and proved it when Cinci injuries hit.

If you could get him on a bargain, or Ayers... ok..

Others just address the need in draft, which they are going to do anyway

Bjorns problem is that he is slow. If we picked him up he would be used like Upshaw was. The guy rarely gets to the QB and would be a down grade from Upshaw.

I would love for them to pick up Werner. Literally no risk in picking up his contract, since it's a rookie deal with no guaranteed money and little base salary. He should be a 4-3 DE, but I'm sure we can find a spot for him (just not at OLB, since that is where he struggled). I liked his power coming out of FSU.

Werner is much like Jarrett Johnson. As a matter of fact, he reminds me a lot of Jarrett Johnson. If we lose Upshaw to Indy then this would be a good pick up. Also, since we got rid of Daryl Smith, Alabama's Ragland is someone to watch. He is a strong ILB and mock drafts have just a couple people even having him in the first round and most have him going to Green Bay at 27. If he slips that low, he would be a good one to move up and grab to fill that spot. More than likely we will grab a Left Tackle in round one and players like Jack and Bosa will be long gone. If we could get a left tackle and move back up and get Ragland then the first two rounds will be more than successful.

There will be many better options in the second round over Ragland. Ragland is not a 3rd down option, run stopper sure(1st and 2nd). He is pretty much as close to Upshaw as you could get, with a bit more upside but still not a cover LB. Also LT is not a NEED all of a sudden because of K.O. Yes the Ravens will need to add depth and they will, just not #6 overall, there will be a better impact player available and taken.

Aldon Smith could be a great addition when he can return to the field in middle of November where it really counts and it would help keeping the pass rushers fresh.

if youve been a ravens fan for even only a couple seasons you probably know that we are done in free agency. We only have money to bring in old guys at the end of their careers. No body young wants to come her they wont get paid enough to want to

If he doesn't play OLB in our D than he doesn't play at all.  Im not sure what position you think he would be able to play.  He isn't big enough to play DE in the 3-4 and would be a down grade from Upshaw as an edge setter. The guy can never get to the QB. He is slow and not very explosive.  I would pass

The only problem with Ragland is that he can't cover. With they way the league is today even the sam backers have to have some sort of ability to cover. I wouldn't take him in the first.

I know Aldon Smith has done some stupid things but he is a Top 5 pass rusher when he is on his game. We need a young stud behind Sizzle & Doom. Take a chance on em

For what? Plenty in this draft.

It's possible but unlikely. 1st round pick that never panned out? Sounds like the Colts problem.

Would rather move back (if possible) and take another LB, if Jack is off the board. Or a DL. CB is an option with Hargreaves. Don't see the Ravens adding another CB to the roster in the 1st round. Unless they move back. Any bidders?
