[News] 2016: Ravens Mock Draft Monitor 3.0

39 posts in this topic

I don't know who most of these "Draftniks" are but if Tunsil is there at 6 you will see us running to the podium. If there is one thing we know about mock drafts it's that they are always wrong. I'm still hoping someone will trade up to pick a second QB ahead of us. SD could also surprise and take a OT. That could make 2 OT and 2 QB's taken ahead of us. Wishful thinking

I envision drafting Stanley - with KO going to Oakland and Eugene not able to stay healthy there is the potential for a a large hole to fill. With Flacco's extension they need to provide him some long term protection and Stanley is the guy to do that.

Yeah, I was like, "wait, what?"  there's no way Tunsil slides to 6. I swear I should get paid for my mock, it can't be any worse than these "draftniks"!

Agree with the prognosticators that the Ravens should and probably will go with a pass rusher. Bosa or Buckner will do just fine. The way the NFL is set up nowadays it's imperative a team has the ability to pressure a QB. With Smith gone and Suggs & Elvis not getting any younger it should be a no brainer.

Some mocks just shout "Look, I'm different than most mocks!" There was one about 2 weeks ago wihich had Tunsil taken at #11...

Yea supposedly this guy Tunsil is a stud, maybe if he is there at 4 the ravens move up to get him, assuming we won't deplete too many draft picks doing that. Not sure if Stanley is worth #6, they say he could be a minor project whereas Tunsil would be a plug and chug.

Round 1. Ronnie Stanley - T- ND, (Stanley is ready to start now and a need) Round 2. William Jackson -CB-Houston,(a steal in rd 2. can start now also) Round 3. Shawn Oakman -DE- Baylor, (Big bodied and adds to the pass rush) Round 4. Malcom Mitchell - WR -UGA, (steal of draft-inj or would be a 1st rd)Round 4 (from the Lions) Travis Feeney- OLB- Wash,(similar to Mitchell / freak) Round 5 (comp pick). Blake Martinez-ILB -Stanford,(Jim Harbs recruited /solid) Round 6. Kolby Listenbee -WR /KR - TCU, (fastest in draft / great KR/PR guy) Round 6 (comp)Tyvis Powell-S-Ohio State,(big bodied / physical / well coached) Round 7. KeiVarie Russell -CB - ND (would be a much higher pick but broke his leg at the end of last season. Will not be immediately available but worth stashing away and now risk with a 7th round pick)

I mean it is very unlikely, but outside of Tennesee and maybe SD, I think that the rest are taking the top defensive players. It would be a gift from God. It is possible that Tennessee takes Bosa, Cleveland takes Wentz, San Diego takes Ramsey, Dallas takes Jack, and Jacksonville takes Buckner or Hargreaves. It will all depend on whether the Titans think their young lineman will develop to be good starters or not.

I like Steve Palazzolo a lot! Is it because he is from PFF or because he has us selecting Tunsil? I'm not sure but I like him a lot really!!

Stop with the Ronnie Stanley bandwagon. he has the physical traits of a #6 pick but not the skill level you want to see. Sure you can coach him along and he will develop some but for a #6 pick you don't pick players that are going to need time adjusting. You look for an immediate contributor, which just means they can become a valuable piece of the puzzle from day 1. That does not necessarily mean instant starter status. Drafting Stanley would likely mean he sits behind Monroe anyways so I really fail to see how using the #6 pick is advantageous, when there is solid LT's available later int he draft.

Jack or Bosa. Gotta start getting some Ravens attitude back on defense.

I think the upside and immediate impact of Bosa, Ramsey, Jack and Buckner are all greater than that of Stanley. I hope that in the case they are all gone that we trade back and still get him around 10 if that if our fate lol

Out of all of them I think the people from PFF deserve the most praise as they truly understand player's value and what teams should need the most as far as upgrading a certain position. The thought of getting Tunsil makes me far more excited than Stanley. I think the forums are divided on picking Stanley at 6, but let's look at it this way. Stanley is a good prospect and has the ability to develop into a great Tackle, but the same could be said about others that are going later in the round and into the second. His lack of strength and the rumors of him not loving the game of football make you question his ability to develop as well. But if we we're set on taking him then I'd hope we would move back 3-5 spots and find a way to get an additional pick or move up in another round. Protecting Flacco is a huge priority, but this is a rare opportunity for us and we cannot look back and say, well we passed on Bosa, Buckner, or Jack, whom I suspect will be pro bowls are instant stars. But time will tell...

If Tunsil somehow falls to the 6th pick, the Ravens will be rushing in their pick pick the second they're on the clock.

treadwell we can get a passrusher and lineman later in the draft

treadwell is not worthy of the 6th pick. the guy is slow and his routes leave a lot to be desired.

If we draft Stanley at 6 Im gonna be really sad. We need playmakers. You can find solid OL in 2nd and 3rd rounds (osemele)

But KO is mostly a guard. We're looking for a LT. Much, much harder to find on day 2.

Tunsil is not going to be there guys, Titans got him for sure. Now they should go after a defensive talent first and then find a guard later in the draft (Monroe can play LT for this year). If they draft Stanley as the # 6 pick then they are going to miss all of those defensive talents and Ozzie gonna regret it again. They need to go after Bosa, Buckner, Ramsey, etc with thier pick.

Agreed. Would be nice if they tracked the accuracy of the draftniks year after year (at least the first round). Nobody would expect a high percentage but again, would be nice to see

The Ravens need to get some of them BUCKEYES! Do you want their names alphabetically or matter of importance! A. Apple, B. Bosa to name a few!

I don't know if l'm explain this right but why are players are going to other teams signing big contracts and then they know that they won't get the full amount and get cut 2-3 years from now because of cap numbers or underperforming? For ex K.O. got 5 year 60M right; is the Raiders going pay the entire 60M to K.O and stay for 5 years. Or cut him 2 or 3 years, waste K.O. time, and should've stay in Batimore with money and full amount of time. Players should be just staying with thier team with a little less than going somewhere else thinking they would have the full cash amount and then get cut 2-3 years. I'll bet the Dolphins will cut Suh eventually because his cap number and Suh should've stay in Detriot. I hope that make sense. I don't know if I'm making sense LOL. :-)

I think D Buckner would be a logical pick, he could step right in for Canty, I know we have Urban , but his health is always a question. Would be ecstatic with Bosa but I think he may be gone.
