Ok so we lost a key offensive lineman this year, lets not do the same and lose Brandon Williams next year.

Lets lock him up now!

Just say NO to Pacman! Horrible idea to bring a cancer into Baltimore. I wouldn't want him on my team, let alone a neighbor.

We lost KO, but let's not forget that we got him in de 2. round. There is no reason to think we can't find another nice OL in this years draft.

It sucks we lost KO but really Im not that mad, In no way is he worth that type of money, but that's the problem in the NFL today teams overpay players and when average or above average players ask for insane money some team will pay.

He isn't gone yet. It's still a chance. He can take the money but what good does it bring if he's not winning. That has to be taken into account as well. We'll see what he does. Hopefully he stays!

How come everybody else has to take a paycut and take one for the team but when it comes to Flacco he doesn't? He restructure is contract which only gave $6 million cap relief, and he took home over $40 million just to sign his name. If im KO I would do like anybody in there right mind would do, take the money, not only that the Raiders have a franchise QB in Carr and a Top Tier WR in Cooper and legit #2 in Crabtree. Why wouldn't he leave?

He's gone. 100%. Dont fool yourself. It's not about winning, it's about money. Most players have 1 chance in their life to sign a contract like this... and we're not talking about pennies, we're likely talking about $3mill/year more to go to Oakland. Plus theyre a young and improving team that could win soon.

Adios KO. I like him but he's not worth the money but the Raiders are being the Raiders and poor KO doesn't even know in what town to buy a house by signing with the Oakland/Los Angeles/San Diego/San Antonio/Las Vegas/St Louis Raiders. Good luck with that KO LOL. With Jensen and Urschel who both were rated highly by PFF, he won't be missed and we just saved a boatload of money. This is where Ozzie is at his best and I was confused by his chasing KO. When things work right in Baltimore, we have a good solid player (Urschel) on a rookie contract able to step in for an overpaid vet (KO) who leaves in free agency and then we get a comp pick and still have a quality player in that position. It worked to perfection with this example. We have Monroe at left tackle who needs to play out his contract and Ozzie needs to start thinking about his replacement in two years when his contract expires. Oz is his greatest when he is thinking two and three years down the line for replacements to existing players rather than when he is scrambling to fill holes and immediate needs.

I don't know where ProFootBall gets their info but theres no way Pacman is getting into M&T without a ticket.

So, a lot of these comments are talking about KO staying with the Ravens so he can stay on a winning team. A. Both the Raiders and Vikings had better seasons than we did last year. B. I feel like getting paid over ten million dollars per year for one's passion in life is the definition of winning.

Football = business. Gotta go where the money is. Thanks for the memories, KO and good luck on the left coast. I am now greatly in favor of taking Ronnie Stanley in the first round.

1) L.A. has the Rams. The Chargers are still in San Diego. St. Louis isnt even a rumor. Las Vegas doesnt make sense because nobody actually lives in Las Vegas, the town is 98% tourists, party goers, and eloping couples. That narrows the possibilities quite a bit.

2) KO was supposed to play tackle. Monroe is plan D at this point, his availability is too shaky. If he can be replaced now, he will be.

I share in your rationalization that there are other things to consider when choosing a team but year after year I am proven wrong. The players only chase the most money. I cant blame them but those of us that think team matters are fooling ourselves. They always follow the highest bid. Thats typically all they care about. This is their lottery ticket and they need to cash in for all they can.

i actually don't think Urschel graded out too well by PFF. I don't have it in front of me but I remember him getting a lot of negative scores. Jensen on the other hand steadily improved over the last few games and I think in one of them he actually had the highest grade on offense.

I think overall the Ravens have been winners a lot more then either of those teams in the last eight years. One year doesn't do it my friend. I wish him luck. Both of those QBs in Oakland and Minnesota will probably do a good job with KO protecting them. Go Ravens.

I hope you're right... I wouldn't even let him in with a ticket.  We don't need that kind of trouble.

welcome to baltimore ronnie stanley

Ronnie Stanley has the physical traits you want in a LT but he does not measure up in many other skill areas. He's a better day 1 starter than others, but he is closer to his proverbial ceiling than others as well. Physical traits do not guarantee anything other than size. See the difference compared to someone like Ogden was that he had size and skill. That makes for a top 10 draft pick. Stop with the Ronnie Stanley is a lock mentality.

Maybe true but Center is 10x more engaging than any other position along the line. That's why the Brains get put where they belong. I'm fairly certain after having Matt Birk for some time, Harbs wanted a similar Center and then they found the human football calculator. Jensen will be LG starter and Urschel will remain at backup center at least one more season. Zuttah will probably be let go in another year so Urschel can step up.

Team does matter, just more so to players that have gone done the money road, usually later int heir careers. Money matters too, cause your not guaranteed anything, how long you'll play, if you'll be inury free or injury plagued, whether you'll win games or not. Look at former Browns C Mack. He can essentially command his price being one of the better C's in the league but you see him talk about Winning matters and how a team prepares and what they do to make it happen. Here's a smart guy, those Sundays are long when your not having success on the field and a big pile of money doesn't take away the frustration it only serves to compound the effect, because now you can't complain or people say your ungrateful. If Raiders or Vikings or whoever want to vastly overpay K.O. Then that's their choice but also a choice with a bad track record for helping a team realize results. Only thing that is different here is K.O. has a superbowl to his name already and enjoyed a great deal of success in Baltimore. That will factor in and may make taking a big pay day elsewhere a worthwhile compromise. More picks for next season and the draft genius continues.

KO free agency is similar to former Raven OG/C Jason Brown. Brown played a year at guard then moved to Center had a very good year then his versatility and solid play landed him a big free agent contract from the Rams ( became the highest paid Center in the league at that time ) without ever having made a Pro Bowl or All Pro team team.

KO has only played all 16 games once, hasn't made any Pro Bowls or All Pro teams similarly.

Perhaps the aggressive offer we gave was just something to run up the deal he signs elsewhere... Just to get a better comp pick

Size, length, athleticism, toughness, awareness, competitve, technically sound - how does that not measure up? Sure he has to fine tune his technique and footwork but he's a high ceiling shutdown LT. Not necessarily a lock (because I think Ramsey will be there) but still one of the best LT prospects in the last couple of years.

True the Ravens knew it was coming let's see if they had a plan better than the one they had with the center a few years ago

I know this is an old article but PacMan Jones has proven why the Ravens don't want him. Already he has opened his mouth this time directed at Calvin Johnson. Yes, the quiet, highly productive, wide receiver who did everything he could for the Lions as long as he strapped on his cleats. Well, Jones is blasting him saying that he just wants out of Detroit and before the season starts, he will be back in the league. This is why we don't want Pac Man. It will be never ending.
