I think Wallace would be a good fit. Adds more speed to our offense, who can definitely produce. He can also help Perriman out with developing, along with SSS. SSS, Perriman, Aiken, and Wallace would be a pretty solid WR group. Then add in Watson, Gilmore, and Williams at TE, that is pretty exciting. This doesn't include the long list of WRs that are fighting for roster spots. I hope Camp can actually stay healthy.

I'm think maybe a 1-2 year deal for Wallace at about 3 million per season.

As for Weddle, he has it narrowed down to 4 teams, and I believe we are one of them. I think we will find out either tomorrow or Tuesday where he will be playing. Obviously he would help our defense, but who do you cut at S? Kendrick Lewis would be gone. Then do you start Will Hill or Webb? Hill has played well the past 2 years. If Webb is moving to FS, it will be interesting what they do. Will Hill is only 25 or 26 years old, so I hope he sticks with us for the long run. I personally don't think Weddle will choose Baltimore, but I do believe we have a good chance. Having SSS here will help, but finances are probably gonna be the issue. May be an interesting week for the Ravens.

I think Weddle's best football is behind him and why are we interested in adding a slow, non playmaker like him in the deepest part of the secondary. Isn't the problem that we don't have players like that already? So to add another on doesn't make any sense to me, especially when you'll have to pay top dollar for him.

I disagree. I think he would be beneficial and help create turnovers for our defense. He still has some good football in front of him, and I think he would be better than Kendrick Lewis, Webb, and anyone else we have. I think Will Hill and Weddle would be a heck of a backend for our defense.

we play a lot more nickle packages with webb in the slot.

adds more coverage and speed on the field.

2-4-5 would be nice.

Didn't Webb do terrible in the slot last year?

Under the Weddle scenario, ask Webb for a paycut again and if he doesn't take it, cut him.

They aren't going to pay him that much money to be a role player.

Anyone else think that drafting Ronnie Stanley is not a good idea. I really hope either Bosa, Ramsey, or Jack slides to us. Having one of those play makers on our defense would be killer. If not we should trade back with a QB hungry team and try to get another 2nd/3rd round pick. In the 2nd round we draft a OT just in case Monroe doesn't preform, but I think he will.

It doesn't look likely that he'll choose the Ravens. It seems to me that the Raiders and steelers are launching an all out effort to land him and the Raiders may be his destination after all.

If the Browns trade for Kap, then it looks like we'll be left to choose from VH3 and Stanley.

It'd be our luck the browns do that which would almost eliminate QB hungry teams from giving us a great deal and also take one of the key players we hoped would draft away from us

If browns trade for kap, i think Tunsil and Stanley will be the first 2 picks, unless titans trade out

I also think that as well. I think Terence brooks back there woulda been better than signing Kendrick. I think brooks got injured last year tho.

Weddle would be a great addition, but we would almost be guaranteed to never see if Webby would be a good safety. The money saved from cutting webby would have to equal Weddle's deal hopefully. We just need a safety tandem that can provide adequate back up and force turnovers at this point.

Actually, it looks like the Titans are seriously considering Ramsey with their #1 pick and I suspect given that Bosa is Ohio State and local, the Browns may go with him. Tunsil will most surely not get past the Chargers at #3 though.

Ravens signed FS Eric Weddle, formerly of the Chargers, to a four-year, $26 million contract.

The deal includes $13 million guaranteed. Weddle was reportedly deciding between four teams. Although he remained one of the league's best safeties in 2015, the Chargers made no effort to re-sign a player they took with the No. 37 overall pick of the 2007 draft. There's bad blood, with Weddle saying he may never speak to the team again. Weddle fills a huge need for the Ravens, who received ineffective play opposite SS Will Hill in 2015. Although he's now 31, Weddle has missed only three games since 2009. Weddle is a playmaker who doubles as a tackling machine at the back end of the defense.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Eric Weddle is a Raven guys :-). Eric Weddle and Will Hill great combo. Now let's hope we can sign Mike Wallace and Courtney Upshaw and well be done at free agency then we could focus on the draft. Hopefully we could draft Joey Bosa.

I encourage everyone to check out his Top 100 highlights on youtube to give you an idea of what he brings to the table. This is the best FA move we have made since signing SSR and trading for Boldin.

Boom. 4 years is a little much but only 13 mill guarenteed. I like the thought of him and hill together in center feild. He has always played like a raven.

If Weddle does in fact signs the deal... what's the likely hood that Wallace signs as well?? And if he doesn't who else is on the market who poses that same deep threat?

Wonder what the new Browns management are doing though... First day into free agency they have already lost their best WR, starting FS, C and RT - and got nobody in return. They'll need huge signings to make it even, let alone make it a positive free agency..

Some might say addition by subtraction. LOL

Mike Wallace has never impressed me. The last three years are on the downward trend and he fumbles.

To be fair to Wallace, Miami was not the place for him. First of all you needed a QB that could throw him the ball. Yes they over paid for what they got in return. Then he went to Minnesota with QB problems and a young QB not entirely his fault but he did chase the money.
