From what other members said on here, his wife is insane and will bring a lot of craziness ie calling out the organization on twitter or FB

You don't have to worry about Grimes' crazy wife - he's signed with the Bucs.

If you add Weddle, and draft Ramsey thats like 10 safeties/CBs.
So you gotta cut or realease somebody or just forget weddle.

I wouldnt mind..a Chris long on a bargain..another stalwart pass rush..victim of being cut.

We have enough space now to sign both Weddle and Wallace and would really narrow down what we need to do in the draft. We can push safety and wide reciever far down the priority list if we get those two allowing us the focus on pass rusher or cornerback. IMO until I see that Monroe has been cut I don't view left tackle as being a first round priority. Bosa, Buckner or Hargreaves are no-brainers, no way Ramsey will be there,

The Ravens’ interest is “still contingent on Wallace accepting a low-budget deal,” Banks reports. --

There is probably some other team out there with a ton of cap space that will be willing to pay more. Usually, when a player visits, you want him signed before he leaves the building. I don't know if a low-budget deal is put in front of him, that he'll sign it. We'll see.

Wallace comes in Monday ahead of free agency. The Ravens do not have to take the first guy that will take the cash. Wallace has really under-achieved, can he play like a Raven? we really need to find out for sure! I still put Randle ahead of him on my list.... there is a reason Minnesota released him now.

wallace has played badly on his last 2 teams, and for good enough reason that we can think it was a system thing and not of his own fault. hes a speedster, a deep threat, and one of the better ones in the league, but his last 2 qbs were noodle armed dink and dunkers. i think at the least he brings back what we lost with torrey, hes perfect for our offense as a 3rd guy. and if perriman plays solidly then we simply have too much speed on the perimeter to contain.

Oh so now he's perfect for what we need. I seem to remember you calling him a one trick pony when I suggested he be sort after when he was a free agent after leaving Pitt. Why the change of heart?

we keep doing this and im sick of it, we get WR in free agency for cheap they come here for a couple years or until they drop a ball for the game in the playoffs ending our season and we get ride of them (lee evens, housmanzada, owen daniels,) the list goes on. Why not get a young WR early in the draft so he can grow with our franchise and be great? pair him up with perriman for the future?smh

You are thinking of Lee Evans, not Wallace.  At least Wallace has playoff experience.  I don't remember him dropping many passes from Benny.

Wallace is one of the - if not THE best receivers on the market. I don't see why he would accept a "low-budget" deal at this point. If it was August, maybe... but on the first week of free agency?

Your right. He won't be a FA till August and he may be the best out there. There's no way Wallace accepts a 3 mil deal at this point but even he knows that he's not gonna get more than 6 from anyone.

Speaking of needing speed at the WR position what's the latest on Perriman?

He's currently day to day with a "bruised knee".

But will only miss "a couple of days tops."

Well, that would mean we're in the playoffs which is already a huge step ahead from last season...

Anyone knows the current cap situation of the steelers? With Bryant's year-long suspension looming, they may badly need a good WR - and they know damn well what Wallace is capable of...

Wallace burned bridges on the way out of Pitt, insulting the city and his former teammates. He wasn't a Diva but they turned on him for holding out.

They $3.1 mil in space and no one I think they'd really be willing to release in order to sign him.

I can't speak for JoeyFlex, but his price tag has changed. Wallace is still a one trick pony, but after struggling with two teams he's not going to get top receiver money. Right now, if the price tag is right, he could add some needed speed to the receiver position.

I really hope we bring D.Smith back, i just don't see a reliable ILBer that would fill his shoes right now on the roster.....Orr showed flashes, but D.Smith has been so consistent....Or....Get Upshaw reisgned, and like i said last year in camp before Suggs got hurt, get him playing ILBer....Run stopping is the ILBer number one priority, and he has shown from day one he is very good at it....JMO....

I don't know if Upshaw is quick enough to be an ILB. You also have to be able to cover people and I'm not sure he can do that, considering he had some weight issues in the past and was considered to play DE.

And if that young hero flops, aren't you gonna "smh"? Somehow you assume that whoever you draft "early" will prove to be a great pick. What if he isn't?

Yep, it would be good to see him back - and I think thats the plan, just like it was with Vonta Leach when we cut him early, let him tour around a handful of teams before we got him back in August.

But... it was hard not to see that Smith has surely lost a step last season, and he was brough out on passing plays more and more as the season progressed...

Because drafting WRs early in the draft typically does not work well for the Ravens. With just one exception (Torrey), the Ravens stink at drafting WRs.

We have about 11 mil in cap and canty is still on the books for some reason. That's another 2 mil. Pitta, monroe, Levine, are probably the next in line if more cap is needed.

Bryant failed yet another drug test. His agent is trying to play the depression card and get that suspention reduced.

Is it just me or do the Ravens have the best group of pass catchers in the division if the season starts now?
