Now the question is with KO leaving , who do the Ravens draft now ? Roll the dice with Monroe or draft Stanly ? I say they draft a LT now.

Not if there is a top defensive pick there at 6 imo. If Bosa, Buckner, Haergraves, or any other  Def. pick that they have on top of their board is there then I think we go defense.

If he got anything close to 10M then I don't think we could afford to pay him that with reciprocal production. So, it is what it is. Keep in mind he was our 2nd round pick just 4 yrs ago. I am bullish that we can get a couple of good O-linemen in the first 4-5 rounds even if we pass on Stanley in the first.
However, it is looking more likely that if Stanley is there, we take him.

K.O. 5 yrs. 60 million. 12 million per year to play for the raiders

I wonder what the Ravens deal was. Like I said it'll be nice to have that paycheck , but the Raiders organization is no where near the Ravens. There is a reason why they call it the black hole ....

I'm actually happy the Ravens didn't spend the money on KO. He's was a great Raven , but that money can be spent and spread out in other areas. The thing is when Monroe is healthy he's played well. A lot of bad luck with injuries, maybe that will change.

I feel KO will be one of the few Ravens players that leaves and has a good career. His talent is not dependent on our system. We all knew this was coming from the day we re-signed Yanda last year. Ozzie had to choose between 2 pro bowl guards and he thankfully chose Yanda. Good luck KO and thank you for all of your quiet hard work. You are a true mauler.

I agree.

He's earned every penny of it. Wish him only the best.

When you consider all of the good players (and coaches) the Ravens have lost over the years, it is amazing that they have remained competitive for so long. Too bad money always wins out over loyality.

It often goes both ways. If a team drafts a younger cheaper player they won't be loyal to their vets.

hope we aren't actually interested in Pacman, guys still got a bad attitude that can cause him to be a liability in the waning moments of the game.

Last year there were 13 LT starters who were not taken in the first. So around 40 percent which is not too shabby. But you're right most of the guys that play LT were taken in the first. Unfortunately there are also many tackles in the league that where taken high (Fishcer, Joekel, Kalil) that didn't really pan out. Its a tough transition from the NCAA to the NFL, especially at that position. If we do draft Stanley I just hope that Monroe can stay healthy so Ron can get acclimated to the speed of the game.

Who were those 13 LT starters? Were they the actual starters or were they backups who played because the incumbent starter was injured? Not saying you are wrong, but when I looked at like the top 20-25 highest paid LTs, I think like 80-90% of them were first round picks.

NO Terron Armstead
OAK Donald Penn
GB David Bakhtari
CIN Andrew Whitworth
BUF Cordy Glenn
PIT Kelvin Beechum
PHI Jason Peters
CHI Jermon Bushrod
ARZ Jared Veldeer
TB Donovan Smith
SD King Dunlap

I did accidentally count two LTs that were really only playing LT because of injuries to first rounders.

BAL KO replacement for Monroe
DEN Ryan Harris replacement for Ryan Clady

Evan Mathis is on the market, maybe we can pull off a 1 or 2 year deal with him. Or Alex Boone if we want a longer term guy.

The Broncos have released Owen Daniels. I would't mind at all seeing him back in Baltimore, if we are looking for a veteran TE anyway.

Well hate to see KO leave, but money talks and BS walks. He'll be another player that leaves for a higher payday only to hear nothing from him again. KO good luck in Oakland , its like going from the penthouse to the outhouse.

Oakland had a much better record than we did last year. With Derek Carr slinging the rock to the likes of Amari Cooper and with a defense led my K. Mack. They have a lot of pieces. You do remember that we lost to them laster year. Withough Al at the helm the Raiders are turning into a legitimate contender.

The interesting thing about Monroe is that when he was healthy, he was good. So, it's not at all a crazy idea to keep him at LT if there's no realistic alternative. He may get injured, sure - but who can't?

The ravens will now take Stanley with their 1st pick.

I don't think it's more sure now than before KO was "half-officially" gone. Stanley was already the safest bet anyway.

Yeah, so basically 2/3 of the starting LTs in this league are first round picks.

There's some respectable names on that list, but there's also some pretty suspect one's. In fact, a couple of them have been released or will be replaced.

KO is a 3rd round oick, and Armstead.. Ke'Raven Clark the guy I wouldnt mind the Ravens drafting is getting comps to him. So you dont need to reach for OT in this draft. You can get a franchise LT in the 3rd maybe early 4th.. like Le'Raven Clark.
This is a DEEP OL TALENT POOL

john urshel should play where KO used to play

I think Urschel or Jensen will win the left guard position and they played well when both playing there the last couple seasons. Problem is is the damage that was dealt through pressers on Monroe. Ravens may need to sign a LT in free agency now. Not sure how Monroe feels about the whole Ravens community going against him the last couple months.

No way Jose..STANLEY is a turdblossum as Chris Pratt said in GoG to Ronin

You take Ramsey the Chuck Woodson,Rod Woodson swiss army knife type transcendent CB/S
Or a Transcendent Pass Rusher Bosa,Spence,Jack, Buckner etc

Defense needs a youth movement and speed, as does the offense. But the defense moreso

I agree and we need to go BPA in this draft with the first round pick. There are several decent LT's we can find in the draft from rounds 2-4. But I still think the Ravens need to sign a LT in free agency now with the Monroe situation. I wouldn't be surprised if they did and then traded Monroe for a couple picks in this draft or next year's draft.

just seen that we agreed with Benjamin Watson. Great, now we have 4 tight ends on staff lol we put energy into every position besides WR and corner. Wright is a 3rd corner at best dont know why we payed him that much

Why are we looking at a TE when all we have on the outside is question marks?Go back to chasing after Pacman and try to Mike Wallace after he gets cut.I don't think the price tag on either of those two should that crazy.

First off, Jensen is the front runner of the two players mentioned. A) Jensen proved can handle LG duties and excel. B) Urschel while a good player in his own (capable of playing LG), is a reserve center and likely to be the next starter when Zuttah is no longer the starter (maybe sooner than later). You don't use your backup center at other positions. Only so many players can play center and if they get injured playing another position, what would you do then? Look like an imbecile going from 1st string player to 3rd/4th string player. That would be such great idea, create more issues by failing to deal with the first issue! (sarcasm intended) Ravens will draft another body for LG depth and LT starter/depth. While the Ravens don't necessarily often draft a QB prospects with the hope of hitting on one, they do draft lots of depth along the line on both sides of the ball. They don't always pan out but when you draft them mid-late your not always counting on them as a guarantee either. At this point i see the Ravens rolling with Monroe as starter for this upcoming season. Monroe has to respect the fact that if he doesn't play and produce this season it not just about being released potentially, but about any team wanting to sign him moving forward and the price they will even offer him. I honestly do not think he is a bad player or does not prepare physically to prevent injuries. He has more than anything just been the recipient of some bad situations that did not go his way, but nothing lasts forever. Only way I'd release Monroe at this point is IF it was very obvious he was not mentally in the game anymore. Monroe should be as motivated as ever to ensure he has not just a good season but a great one as it may be his last chance to showcase his value.
