The ravens will now take Stanley with their 1st pick.

Not happy about it, but you're more than likely right.

if any of those players that you mentioned are still on the board when it is our turn to pick, I think we would pick one of them instead of stanley.
There are promising OL that can be had on the second day of the draft.

Would still really like to see us grab a top defensive talent with the number 6th pick. We got K.O. in the second round and we are picking high. Here's to a nervous draft.....

Maybe.

To be honest, I hear this every year from fans, yet the number of starting LTs in this league who aren't first round picks is really, really small.

I think we stay w/Monroe now (and pray for better/consistent play) and go defense in the first round. Maybe get a tackle in later rounds. will be interesting...

there goes K.O and now we need to find new guard for our O line. i hope we do not sign adam jones because he is not a ravens type of player since he always gets into trouble off the field. we need someone that can shut down antonio brown and aj green because they always burn our secondary. if somehow we land Janoris Jenkins that would be sweet then we would have good secondary but i know it depends on the price and i know Ozzie would not spend crazy money in Free agency

I hate to see KO go..but if he is going, let it be for BIG money so the Ravens are set-up to potentially get a 3rd round comp next year. Little consolation for the loss of talent, but this is how the business of football is played.

I don't know if $11M p/year will result in a 3rd round pick, but that's what he's getting.

We don't need to find a guard we have both Jensen and Urschel who kicked butt. I like KO but we have the best guard in the league at 7.5 mil/yr in Yanda and although KO MAY have been able to play left tackle, one just as good will be there at 6 and cost about 8 mil less or we can play Monroe who is average for money we already are contracted for. I am kind of glad we are off the 10 - 12 mil kick to keep KO so we can spend that money on positions of need. That money would get a killer CB or pass rusher and we need those positions, we don't have a Monroe in those spots, a starter who is being replaced due to injury. The Ravens mentallity, IMO, was secure CB and LT in free agency and sign a pass rusher at 6 in the draft and they are still on pace with that I believe because now they will keep and start Monroe and get a tackle in the third or fourth round that drops in the draft.

Last year there were 13 LT starters who were not taken in the first. So around 40 percent which is not too shabby. But you're right most of the guys that play LT were taken in the first. Unfortunately there are also many tackles in the league that where taken high (Fishcer, Joekel, Kalil) that didn't really pan out. Its a tough transition from the NCAA to the NFL, especially at that position. If we do draft Stanley I just hope that Monroe can stay healthy so Ron can get acclimated to the speed of the game.

KO made it clear... he wants top $$$ more than to be a Raven. No point getting into another huge contract at the expense of building a winner.

I know it is a complicated formula and that is why I said "BIG" money and "potentially". The last tracker I saw for this year has 2 players below $11 million resulting in a 3rd round comp pick.

Well hate to see KO leave, but money talks and BS walks. He'll be another player that leaves for a higher payday only to hear nothing from him again. KO good luck in Oakland , its like going from the penthouse to the outhouse.

I feel KO will be one of the few Ravens players that leaves and has a good career. His talent is not dependent on our system. We all knew this was coming from the day we re-signed Yanda last year. Ozzie had to choose between 2 pro bowl guards and he thankfully chose Yanda. Good luck KO and thank you for all of your quiet hard work. You are a true mauler.

Who were those 13 LT starters? Were they the actual starters or were they backups who played because the incumbent starter was injured? Not saying you are wrong, but when I looked at like the top 20-25 highest paid LTs, I think like 80-90% of them were first round picks.

Haha! Might be a little awkward in the locker room between Jones and Smith Sr. after he threw Pacman to the ground after a catch on his way to the end zone in 2104.

Now the question is with KO leaving , who do the Ravens draft now ? Roll the dice with Monroe or draft Stanly ? I say they draft a LT now.

Agree. I actually think that the F.O is thinking that way too. Just hope that Monroe can stay healthy.
