I say Yes he will. If Peyton Manning wins Super Bowl MVP he will announce his retirement within 1 month after the super bowl

I beg to differ. Manning wants another ring. They are some sources say Manning wants to play another year. That would be his 17th season. Brett Favre played 17 seasons did he?

Favre and Manning are completely different QBs.   Manning was a tactician while Favre was a gunslinger iron man.   Favre has one of the most impressive records in sports.

That being said I think he retires no matter what.   I think the Broncos don't want him back either and I don't see Peyton taking another pay cut.   Not too sure many teams would want him.  He has not looked good at all over the entire season.   It was a great run and would be nice for him to go out like ray and Elway,  but this is the end of the line.

I doubt he will, but if he does play some more it won't be for Denver and wherever he goes it won't be pretty. :(

His brain and his body just are not on the same page anymore.  This makes me sad.

Well, the real question is whether he'd be back as a Bronco, which I doubt. They've got some high priced guys to resign and he's due $19M next season, which he's nowhere near worth.

I suspect next Sunday is the last time you'll see him.

He's done after he wins or loses the Super Bowl unless he wants to ride the bench. He looks like he's in pain every time he throws. Besides, Cam will be the MVP of this season AND the Super Bowl.

The way I see it, Manning should just retire and go be the next Billy Mays and be in every infomercial/commercial. What actually will happen, Manning decides to come back for another year and it won't be for the Broncos. Houston is the only AFC team that needs a QB unless he goes to the Jets and makes us have to live through two or three(playoffs included) more Brady vs Manning matchups. Or he lets go of the whole Eli NFC issue and goes to the Rams.

And it like this,,We all didn't want to see Ray Lewis and Ed Reed played their last Ravens game at the Super Bowl. But they both had to go :( But I'm glad i got to see Ray Lewis and Ed Reed in Baltimore all these years. The Legends did their part. Now its the young batch turn to try putting our Ravens into another super bowl :)

It would be wise if he retires after Super Bowl win or lose. Cause he will never be the same if he reinjuries his neck if he plays next year. Better safe than sorry later.

Dude can hardly throw the ball, he'll retire either way. He's surviving on instinct and intellect, which may just win him a Super Bowl.

He better retire win or lose, or else he may get an involuntary retirement or worse--Brett Favre!

So now there are conflicted reports about Manning's retirement. A report said he would announce his retirement by the end of the week, and now the Broncos are refuting that report. A Broncos spokesperson on Twitter tweeted this Saturday.

Peyton has not made a decision on his future. Plan remains for him to continue talks with the team this week.

Why would he risk reinjuring his neck? Get out while you still can. NFL is a very dangerous sport
