20 posts in this topic

Now that the tampering time has begun, we may as well say goodbye to K.O. This is what I read on Walterfootball.com free agent rumors:

The Ravens don't have much interest in re-signing Kelechi Osemele. - Jason Cole, Yahoo!

Quoting a single sentence without any context or factual proof of anything other than an opinion makes for a weak argument. Also made me laugh. IF the Ravens did not offer Osemele an aggressive LT offer, then maybe you could say there is some truth to this bogus statement. This just is not the case. Also I don't take anyone working for a company called "Yahoo!" seriously.

hopefully osemele loves this team enough to stay even if the ravens offer isnt the highest offer. im sure the ravens offer is respectable and in the 8-9 million per year range. im sure some stupid team will offer an insane 13 million a year and i cannot blame him for turning it down but he will be on a non playoff team for years to come. on a side note i would like to congratulate peyton manning on an amazing career. he played the game his whole career the right way on and off the field

it does not look good. There are teams that are going to be willing to overpay KO and we aren't going to be able to match their offers. Of course the team is going to say they gave him an aggressive offer but in reality that is a subjective term. I have seen it in multiple places. Its a bitter pill to swallow but the writing is on the wall.

KO, is really interesting. I wonder if teams will pay top tackle money to a guard that only started 4 games at the tackle position. It is really hard to fathom teams paying anything north of 10 mill per year. But like every year, teams will overpay.

Probably the Browns or Bengals. They have more money then brains I think. I was hoping KO would not be greedy. Guess I was wrong lol.

It is not about being greedy. You can only play football for a limited amount of time. It is his first contract and he needs to get as much as he can, because no one knows if he will ever get another one. The game is a physical one and players get career ending injuries all of the time. He can not predict the future. All he has is now. It is selfish for fans to think that he should take less money just so he can stay with the team. He does't owe you anything.

What exactly are you saying? I am not up for a Pulitzer quoting multiple sources to quell your dissatisfaction with 'Yahoo'. All we do here as forum members is share information for the benefit of all others that may not have read or seen what I read or saw. That's all. I am not sure about the veracity of the quote, but I would imagine that he got it from somewhere legitimate. I wouldn't react the way you did as long as you quoted it from somewhere.

Morgan Cox - so glad to have him. His position is the one no one notices ... until catastrophe strikes ... and then you notice in a very big way.

I can recall the times when has been hurt ... it is no fun holding your breath on every FG and punt, praying disaster doesn't befall the team.
