[News] Late For Work 3/7: Even With Shareece Wright, Another CB Still Expected

Please, just say NO to LaFell. He couldn't put up numbers in New England when Gronk was out. How is he to do it here? He doesn't even get picked up in fantasy football leagues, lol.
Seriously, we are going backwards if we pick up this guy. Pick up Colston instead and draft Sheppard.

What in the world is going on with web site management at BR.com? This article had at least 15 replies this morning and now only 1 remains. I have seen the same thing happen with multiple articles over the past few weeks but you could usually go through the forums section to find them. I have seen what appears to be at least a 50% drop in the amount of comments since the launch. even for this time of year that tells me people have left. Such poor execution. Just trying to find login is different on my PC, ipad and phone.

I complained about it too but apparently they are under orders from the NFL for some of the changes. Not sure I like the new format too.

now, slap 2nd rounder on AIKEN, re-sign GIVEN- he will breakout since all the attention will b on PERRIMAN/SSS/AIKEN. our WRs should be fine next season, with SSS, aiken, perriman, butler, givens, mathews, d.brown.

What's the story with CB Will Davis we traded with Miami last year. He was one of the better corners we had for the two or three games he played. I thought during the off-season his name was brought up a couple times. Is he a roster guy or did we just sign him for the end of last season. Until the league year starts and the team cleans up the roster page its hard to determine who is actually here and who is gone.

No #4 receiver on this team is ever going to "break out". Givens would have a tough time finding snaps playing behind those three, especially when you consider how he struggled to be effective when he was competing with Aiken and fodder for snaps last season.

i'd say we draft back if possible and get a very nice corner later in the first round and besides that we really do need a WR.i don't think PERRIMAN will hold up very well and will be injured alot, plus many WR. that had that surgery do not come back as quick,he may become just another second or third option when he's on the field.i think were ok upfront on the d-line and should part ways with upshaw,i can't remember the last time iv'e seen him around the qb.we would of been alot better on offense if PITTA stayed healthy, out of all those promiseing tight-ends,noone has panned out too well, with one good pass-rusher,another good corner a verified WR. and a safety blanket TE,we will be right back in the mix.i wish we would use a more UP-TEMPO passing game, quick routes, get the ball out of JOE'S hands quicker, then you don't need a high priced O-LINE,just look at the PATRIOTS and the CHIEF'S.

Not really. Right now Kamar Aiken is our number one receiver. We have no idea how SSS is going to come back from injury and Breshad Perriman is still unproven. The rest of the list is mediocre at best. If they were any good I am sure we would have seen it. Companaro is great in the slot, but is not healthy ever, and is still unproven in my opinion.

Feels like we will hear that he signed with another team by the end of the day Wednesday. That to me is going to dictate our entire draft. If/when he walks we will most likely be forced to take a tackle with our 1st and miss out on an impact making pass rusher, inside LB or CB. Having a strong line is one of those unnoticed, unsexy investments until you need them. So I would support the pick but really wish we could add a dynamic defensive player instead. Maybe the FO will surprise us by signing a vet LT before the draft or maybe just maybe KO stays but I'm not getting my hopes up

Your whole statement makes no sense. Why draft back when we have a possibility of grabbing Ramsey or Bosa. We pretty much have 3 top picks in the first 3 rounds so a receiver will be drafted just not in the 1st that will be all defense. You've yet to see Perriman play and can't attest to him being injured a lot. D line is fine yes but we still need a pass rusher, thats where Bosa comes into play if the titians don't yank him or we might draft Buckner if he's still around. Pitta's injuries were a freak accident and no one could have seen them coming. What team have did you watch last yr? Because Crocket, Maxx, and Nick were doing the damn thing and I see nothing but upside to all three(If Boyle can get it together after this suspension he'll be a hell of a dual threat TE). If you paid attention to how Trestman operates we won't be doing what the Pats do and dink and dunk with an uptempo type offense. We run to set up the pass and then we take the top off or run the shotgun and boot-legs. O-line keeps Flacco safe and healthy so ask the Pats and the Chiefs what happens when your online is trash...you get smacked around and sacked all game.

Somehow the article got replicated, possibly when it was updated.  The original version with associated comments can be found here

I noticed that too. It was not replicated. It was re-titled and re-posted after the original was already out. Feels like the new site was rolled out before it was ready. Feels a little forced to me. But hey, at least it's not full of spammer comments like a lot of the other nfl sites out there. Shameful that a mult-billion dollar industry cant have someone to monitor and clean up the comment section. You guys do a great job of keeping it civil around here. Thank you for that.

If we don't get Stanley at #6, I've got the pefect OT pick, who'll probably be around in the second round: Le'Raven Clark!

He may not be as good as Stanley - but man he's got the perfect name :)

Sadly, our cap space disagrees.

KO will by all likelyhood be gone by Thursday, or Friday the latest. He may already have his provisional new team...

Cool name. Not a guy I want the Ravens to select in any round. Certainly not the second.

He's still under contract. I think him and Walker are great depth behind J.Smith and wright.

i think it's official now. Ravens go BPA in the draft.

Ozzie just stop it! We need MAJOR upgrades here, not the same cesspool of talent that lost us 11 games last year (and a huge playoff game in 2014). That whole secondary should have been dismantled in the offseason.

I think K.O. will be gone by Wednesday at about 4:01. He is probably already gone, just deciding between teams other than the Ravens. Apparently the Raiders and Vikings are fighting for his services, and the Raiders are the likely winners. We can't compete with their cap space. We will get a good comp pick in return, that can be used for a trade next year though.

I guess we keep Monroe unless we go with Stanley? I wouldn't mind drafting Stanley, but I really want to go defense with our first pick.

If KO goes to OAKLAND for more money... he will hurt himself in the long run!

Oakland isn't going to be the same old Oakland. They have a very good foundation in place, and I wouldn't be surprised if they compete for the division this year if they spend some of that money (which they are doing on one of our own players) and have a solid draft.

And what do you want Ozzie to do? Do you know how much money a top corner on the Free Agent market will cost? Your looking at 7-8 million. Jenkins and Sean Smith will likely get more. We don't have a bunch of money to be throwing around like some other teams. Ozzie has to pick his spots. If we expect us to sign a top FA corner, you better bring your expectations down.

Thank you because I was just saying the same thing. We always try to downgrade our problems to make it seem like everything has been great these last couple years

I don't like the new format much at all. I notice that not only comments are down, but the "like" and "don't like" responses have dwindled to almost nothing. Part of my enjoyment is to "like" comments I agree with or make a good point as I read along. The fact that we have to switch over to use the "like" button is a total waste. From the looks of the decrease in comments and the cumbersome way to use the "like" buttons, the site has become less user friendly and I agree that comments and reactions to them are way down. It's more than just being the off-season. As soon as the new site was put in place I noticed less reader participation and interaction. Hope the Ravens staff has some say or sway to improve the site.
