[News] Ravens Extended Joe Flacco To Win, Not Save Cap Room

32 posts in this topic

IDK if it's possible but if we could sign Roddy White, K.O, and Justin Tucker...I mean, we could hold the talks with Justin Tucker for after the June 1st cuts to save more money, sign K.O and White now. And, as usual, get a couple of under the radar signings, draft for our defense to get better, perhaps some OL depth...I can't see anything wrong, just how unlikely it is I guess lol

I would love to see KO stay. Now that Flacco's deal is done and Tucker is tagged, that's definitely going to be their priority - to convince him to stay despite the promise of better money elsewhere. I'd rather see them do that than try to get a free agent like Roddy or Mario Williams or whoever.

i doubt K.O stays after seeing what was invested in a marginal player. No way we can sustain with Flacco making this kinda money. SMH

20+ other teams have the same problem.

Most of them will be just fine.

Roddy White ? you cant be serious.

Think about the weapons that would surround him. If we got him for the right price it could be a game changer. He had a down year last year, so did our entire team, it happens

Well, like I said, we focus on K.O, then sign Roddy, and after we clear up money letting Monroe go due to signing K.O and maybe a couple of other cap casualties, we get the deal with Tucker.

Dynasty-There are younger receivers available. I will let Jacket argue with you on that one. As far as KO, he may not get a better offer and stay, but if he gets the money he will be gone. The Ravens will not over pay for him. They have a number that they are willing to spend and I think they gave him the best offer they are willing to pay. Chances are he will get better ...but just like all the rest, he probably will end up on a losing team and have a down year. Oh well, that will be his decision if it happens. It is very possible that the Ravens get a good year out of Monroe, and they pick up a great young Tackle....who knows. The good thing is they have a much better chance this year being in the #6 position to gain some traction in the draft.

Its awesome that Joe Flacco and the ravens reached a new contract now Ozzie Newsome should sign Roddy White to upgrade the ravens wide receiver corps. Signing him would really help Joe Flacco thus helping the Ravens reach the Super Bowl #goravens

I would like to win too after last year's debacle. I'm curious - how many games have we won since we won the SB? Do we have a winning record since then?

We pay a QB all this money and dont invest in any weapons for him, its incredible. its like buying the most expensive G.I Joe doll and not buying him any accessories

Great job Oz and Flacco now lets get Tucker and K.O. extended and signed for the long haul.

Tucker is getting the Franchise tag...its all but done. KO has the offer sitting on his passenger seat, he is the one that is driving around...its out of Ozzy's hands at this point. Right now The Ravens should look at a making a FA deal for an under rated Rueben Randle. solid #2 progressive deal with reception/ TD/ and Playoff bonus should be able to get him for a good deal. Wont have to give too much maybe a #3 compensatory and 2.5 -3 mil. OZ can work a deal. This would free them up to focus heavy on Defense in the Draft, with options on OL if one shows up in any round. Probably 1st on Stanley.

Just say no to Roddy White guys he's too old and l'm tired we getting 34+ year old recievers to our qb. If they want to go in that route and pick up a wr in free agency then they should look at other options like Reuben Randle, Mohamed Sanu, Marvin Jones, or Jermaine Kearse.

good suggestions....or even a possible bargain such as Riley Cooper who apparently is on the street and might prove to be an affordable 2nd chance type guy. He is still young and maybe a change in city/team/coach/style can make him a Raven. if his cost is prohibitive then its not worth the risk...but if its low risk then maybe so.

I'm getting on board with drafting OT Stanley at #6. I would love to get a potential game changer on defense like Ramsey, but it's pretty much unanimous that he'll be gone before we're on the clock. And protecting Flacco is more important now than ever.

We saw last year how one simple mistake from the blindside can injure a QB. Think how devastating it would be to see another of our seasons ruined because of a similar injury to our QB. Especially considering his cap hit (which is fair, but still expensive).

Protecting Flacco (and improving the run game while at it) should be our 1st priority now. And unless we re-sign K.O with the cap savings we get from the Flacco deal, I'd be happy to see us drafting Stanley.

i am on board with riley cooper because he is not fragile like camponaro is and could be our chain mover when sss is on the sidelines sucking oxygen from the tanks.

No, we're 23-25 reg season, and 1 playoff win.
