I'm wondering though, with Canty gone do we really need to draft a replacement? Don't we already have guys that are fully ready to take over for Canty?

If we take Buckner he's BPA, so I'm fully OK with it. But while there is a ton of potential for our 2nd and 3rd pick at this position, wouldn't it be wiser to let Urban, Guy and Davis step up?

I think there is a good chance we take someone as BPA at some point as this D-line class is really good.

I have a new outlook on how the top 6 will go. Ramsey may very well end up being the top pick overall- which changes some things..

1)Ramsey

2)Goff

3)Tunsil

4)Bosa

5)Vh3

This would leave us to choose between Buckner and jack- which I would just have to leave up to oz and the boys upstairs, cuz I have no clue what I would do.

No, the Jags would gladly take Buckner, he fits their defense very well and they're still trying to reinforce their front seven.

Since the general consensus for the first two picks is Tunsil to the Titans and (insert QB name here) for the Browns, I really hope the Chargers get Stanley so at least we get the remaining one between Bosa, Ramsey, or Jack.

Yeah, I think we're going DL because the talent is just too strong. We'd be stupid not to tap into that talent. I'd love Rankins here but he'll probably be gone before we can pick him outside the first and may not necessarily be top choice in the second.

It looks as if Leonard Floyd will be a top 10 pick. Would be cool to get Floyd or Sprnce then trade up for Nkemdiche. My opinion would energize the ravens defense. If ravens lose KO then the ravens are back to square one and Left Tackle is priority.

We could use more speed but I think more on the 2nd and 3rd levels, I don't see the value for Floyd because he isn't a 3 down player.

I fully agree, and when I see guys like Adolphus Washington or Chris Jones available in the 3rd it's really tempting, but at the same time wouldn't it waste all we have invested on Urban, Davis, Guy and maybe even Jernigan?

Washington is a beast and I would take him over those guys. Urban has injury issues since college, Davis flamed out by the middle of the year, Guy is in the second year of his two-year deal, and Jernigan is entering his third year and is a bit if a knucklehead but I like him.

I wouldn't take Washington, anyone with a "solicitation of a prostitute" charge likely shouldn't be trusted with millions.

This isn't about the first round but I think with ko officially gone then trading back up for spriggs should be a priority

Take Stanley ... Ramsey is the next LaRon Landry and Bosa the next Chris Long. Take the sure thing in a top 2 Offensive lineman.

I don't see Stanley as a 6th overall. More like 13th. I see more value from a player like Jack, Bosa or Ramsey who will have a bigger impact on the game.

Was thinking the same. Or what would you think of Shon Coleman?

How is a OT a sure thing after Eric Fisher, Greg Robinson and co??

OK. I can see a scenario where Tunsil is at three. I'm starting to feel that Tennessee will take Ramsey.

somebody talk me into him getting past San Diego an Jacksonville

KO signed with raiders per BR

There you go. Now, we have to punt again. Hopefully, Ozzie and gang knew the outcome and have other plans in place to augment our O-line either through free agency and more likely through the draft. At least we are assured a 3rd round compensatory pick that we can trade next year.

Still have to wait and see if we even get a 3rd round comp.

For us to get that we need Fitzpatrick and Osweiler to resign with their respective teams. If not, there's 2 with a higher average per year in salary.

Then add in Malik Jackson who will get more than Monroe and may be even Jenkins.

There are only 3 3rd round comps given out. We very well may not get a 3rd round comp.

What do you think makes Stanley a sure thing? He gets zero push in the run game and has reports circulating that he is lazy/has no passion for the game.

His loosely built frame makes the reports sound realistic, why is he that big with flabby arms and narrow shoulders? Because he doesn't put in the work in the weight room, thats why.

No tackle who stays stationary in run blocking against college linemen is a top 10 talent, and that's BEFORE the concerns over his effort.

Anyway we would trade up for tunsil?

The only scenario I would see is if someone trades up to No. 1 to jump the Browns for a QB. Then the could move back to 6 and grab either the 2nd QB on their board or grab a guy like Bosa that they potentially may've taken at No. 2

I think he is. I think he can even play ILB and play OLB on 3rd downs. Of course he's going to need to put on about 10-15 pounds

Interesting scenario here that I feel hasn't been discussed enough.. Tunsil, qb, ramsey, and Jack go top 4... Who does Jacksonville take at 5? Sadly I think its bosa and were left picking between vh3 and buckner.

I wouldn't eliminate the thought of a team drafting up for a QB though. That could knock somebody down to us.

This seems very likely to me.  And I agree they take Bosa in that case.  We'd choose between Buckner and VH3.

The part I don't get is "Sadly".  Where's the downside here?

I feel that were picking in the 2nd tier at that point. Tunsil, jack, ramsey, and bosa are top tier to me, I love vh3 and buckner but I just feel like the gap between the 5th pick and 6th pick in that particular scenario feels more like a 5 spot difference than 1 spot.
