I'm a little biased towards Buckner because I think Timmy Jernigan is too injury prone to be a long term answer. Also his pass rushing style, technique and positioning over power and effort is a big reason why he doesn't wear down.

I may be alone here, but I think that Kevin Dodd may go to the Dallas Cowboys over Joey Bosa. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that happens and Joey Bosa drops right to us.

I'd be less surprised if WE took Dodd given the usual suspects are off,

dont get me wrong, I'd be surprised if we took Dodd at six but I'd be shocked if Dallas took him over Bosa or Jack.

I wouldn't under sell DeCostas,"instant coffee" comment.

If that is the criteria I would say Buckner would fit that bill. So would Jack. I'm not sure Hargreaves does.Elliot?

Who else?

I personally don't like Stanley at 6. I like spriggs as my 2nd tackle, in terms of technique he is 2nd to tunsil, and his lightning quick backpedal and agility to mirror speed rushers is the best in this class I think. He has the 2nd best skill set he just needs bulking up in the run game, his anchor and hip level is stellar so I think He holds up against power rushers fine, and he shows much more effort and leg drive in the run game, I really think he's a top 5 LT with some good weight work, but I think due to his pass pro alone he is a future top half LT

hargreaves absolutely does. he's the best bet to generate turnovers. He has the Best ball skills of any db on years, and he will be targeted often thanks to jimmys coverage, his off man read and jump play style fits the defensive philosophy perfect and He would have a lot of qbs scratching their heads like "I didn't think he could get there that quick..."

I like Hargreaves. Didn't mean to suggest he'd be a bad pick. I don't know if he fits that "instant coffee" tag.

i love how physical Hargreaves is man.

Agreed. I still love Buckner and would gladly take him over Stanley and VH3, only thing that made me cool on Buckner a little was his agility drills, but he is still a top 5 player of mine, if Cleveland doesn't take a QB and the big 5 are gone I'm gonna be disappointed, because I still can't buy into Stanley it's not the position, just not a huge fan of his.

That's where I stand as well. Not against taking a LT, just not sold on Stanley. I see the potential, he could be a pro bowl caliber Tackle in all honesty because he's so athletic, a "dancing bear" as they call them. Will be interesting to see what happens if the big 5 is gone and we can't trade out, I know I said I was against it in another thread but I would have to think hard about Zeke Elliott there, either him or VH3 but there's just so many corners floating around near our 2nd round pick that it doesn't make much sense.

I'd say immediate boost to turnovers combined with pairing him with Jimmy weddle and hill to come up with coverage sacks is absolutely instant coffee lol

Spriggs isn't second to Tunsil in technique. This is just wrong.

Now that I can agree! Lol. I like Spriggs, but he needs work like a lot of other OL in this class. I do think he's in the cards for us, though.

I would categorize instant coffee to be either Elliott, Buckner or Bosa. Those 3 will be productive right off the bat in that order imo. But, who really knows how the draft is going to play out? It depends on 2 teams and what they do about QBs. Cleveland and Dallas.

Treadwell ? no way at 6. He will drop close to 17-20. He didn't run the 40 because he would have run 4,7. Waiting for his pro day to get in 4,6ish

Friendly wager says he won't fall that far.

Treadwell is worth it at 6. Couldn't care less about his 40.

I think VH3 gets a lot of negative criticism for his last few games in college and not enough praise for his greater body of work (namely his sophomore performance). He had to have been playing safer his final season to keep from getting injured. I would not mind him at all at 6. Our secondary would be pretty awesome for the next couple years with him shoring up the #2 CB position (or #1 if he really does well :D )

Theres players I would rather have at 6 over him but if we go into next year with VH3, Jimmy, Webb, Weddle, Hill...im pretty happy

I don't recall any better secondary in the league.

The thing with VH3 at 6.... is they could maybe get him at 12-15. Not a lot of teams will target CB from 7 to 12. So if the nightmare scenario happens and the top 5 is gone, I'd trade down. The Rams will be looking HARD at Goff/Wentz since the Browns didn't draft one and they have two 2nd picks. But landing VH3 at 15 might be dreaming. I think the biggest needs are CB and Pass rusher. If Buckner is gone, 3-4 DEs can be found later. Good CBs can be found in round 1-3. Good pass rushers ? They will go sooner. I know some project will be available in round 3-4 (Correa, Ngakoue) but we're not talking Dodd or Floyd skills.

7- 49ers : They go QB or O-Line

8- Eagles : I don't see them going CB

9- Buccs : They could go CB but they added Grimes. they need pass rush bad so I see Dodd

10- giants : fixed a lot of problems on D.. I could see Stanley or Zeke or even WR or Lee

11- bears : stanley or lawson or zeke

12- saints : they'll go CB or d-line. probably d-line their biggest need

13- dolphins : dodd or VH3 or even o-line or zeke

14- raiders : VH3 or Apple or Zeke if still there

15- Rams : ??

Still, I could see one of them available at 15

- Dodd

- Floyd

- Apple

- VH3

At this point, I'd be very happy to go with a Pass rusher at 15 (Ravens 1st (6th) vs Rams 1st (15th) + Rams 2nd (43th) or (45th) they got two + Rams 3rd (76th). . Gives weapons to trade back in the end of the first for :

- W. Jackson

- Alexander

- Spriggs

I really don't see us trading back this year. I'd like for us to do it if guys are gone, but I'm not sure we will since I expect us to want a top player for once.

That's how I see it. This is the first time in a long time we have an opportunity to get a bonafide top talent. I'd think we're hoping it's the last time for a long time, too.  I think they want to use it.

Yep. I also feel good about Bosa falling to us. I think the only way we trade back is as a worst-case scenario. Other than that, I think we stay where we are.

Thats exactly how I see it. The only way I see the Ravens trading back is only if the top 5 players are gone. And it would surprise me A LOT if the Browns don't go with Wentz. Buckner isn't the best fit in Dallas and Jacksonville. He could go to the Chargers but I doubt they pass Tunsil or Ramsey. Unless the Chargers shock the world and pick Buckner, I think the Ravens will get one of Buckner or Bosa.

Jerry Jones can also pick Zeke. We never know. So the chances are still high the Ravens get a top 5 pick

I think San Diego goes linemen, whether that's Buckner or Stanley or Tunsil remains to be seen. I don't think they'll go Ramsey at #3, though he may not even be there. Yes, that means I could theoretically see the Chargers take Buckner over Tunsil, although I find it unlikely. I think Dallas goes Elliott, Buckner or Dodd but I can't rule out Bosa. He makes sense. They may even take Ramsey if he's there. Could go in many directions for them.

Of all the top guys, I think Bosa just falls to us. It's my gut feeling.

If Cleveland doesn't take Wentz, then he falls to us right before San Francisco.  If we have to trade back, at least it's likely to be lucrative.

Cleveland needs Wentz, I doubt he can turn things around but he's their best shot. Even with that baseball metrics guy as president the first rule is you cannot win without a QB, that trumps BPA.

I think with Ravens sitting at pick 6, If these 3 players Myles Jack, Joey Bosa and Jalen Ramsey are gone I believe they should look at Elliot the RB out of OSU. He could be a great addition he is the "new" breed running back plus he blocks better then any back in the draft. I know we have a lot of backs but NONE of them can do what Elliot does. Forsett, can do some things out of the backfield, But not to the caliber of Elliot. But at this point it looks like we may take Stanley. I just feel like this is a reach and some people will argue that Elliot is a reach. Anyone have any thoughts?

hmmm, Elliots name seems to be popping up more and more. I would love to have a game changing back, but the way the league is set up nowadays.....I can't wait for the draft smh

My instincts tell me that Bosa, Ramsey, Buckner, Jack and Tunsil will all be taken ahead of us. That leaves us with VH3, Elliott or Stanley to pick from. I don't think the Browns pick a QB at #2. Heck - Hue Jackson was at Myles Jack's pro day chatting him up. Why would he go across the coast to chat a player up that he has no intention of considering if they are set at QB for #2? I don't think a HC in the NFL will go cross country for a diversion! They are picking #2 - what do they care??
