I'm certain Joe Hortiz has finished interviewing all the draftees' neighbors, cousins, and elementary school teachers by now.

Looking at other NFL teams’ combine coverage, I’m really disappointed at what our staff (who I like a lot) has done with the combine coverage. Very inadequate considering the entire lot is out at Indy. I’ve repeatedly gone to other team’s websites to get information and videos on prospects, etc. We need to do a much better job to be honest. I don’t know if we are understaffed, but if the Browns can put out better stuff than us, come on man!

Just a thought, maybe the content they release actually needs to be approved in order to not tip the hat for the competition. Also does the combine coverage actually matter vs getting results in the way of solid players that will play for a long time. I mean if your just after combine coverage than check out other sources like the official NFL sources, because multiple sources then to give you better idea of the reality. I am fairly certain all sources are reporting softly in the sense they are putting together stories and reports that say some but nothing conclusive, all opinion based. Imagine being a reporter and accidentally giving away your teams draft strategy accidentally.

I;m specifcally speaking about player interviews. The only place I was able to see them were on other team sites and not NFL.com. We could’ve have at least posted the interviews of players that have been mocked to us. Not too big of a deal and I don’t think needs approval. What approval to show player interviews? Just takes effort and work.

I would just use NFL.com for that. They have all the right to the coverage anyways.

@pcwag33 the Bengals draft way better in the last couple of years and that just a fact. The proof is that they have a lot of talent and leading 10th in salary cap space with $38,868,157 while the Ravens have lack of talent and worst salary cap space in the NFL with $6,525,629 to spend. The only difference is that with all that talent they still can't win a playoff game while the Ravens won 2 SuperBowls LOL.

We need to copy what the bungles are doing

We don't have a Carson Palmer to trade to help get us a bunch of extra picks....And in 2008, 2009, 2011 they had top ten picks.  I agree they hit on some good players late, but they have drafted pretty good.

This is a big year for Ozzie. He has done what he said he was going to do If you listen. He got us strong up the middle and younger. We have a very talented and young interior line on D. We have a good if not great set of interior lineman on O. I still like Rick and think he will be better after fully healing from his foot issues. He wants playmakers in the secondary. Webb will be one, and safety is his natural position. Hill is a beast. Now he wants to get playmakers on the edges. Jimmy can be a shut down corner. I know another is on the radar. A pass rusher is coming, you have to believe that. He has shored up special teams. Give they guy a break. We are competitive while rebuilding, last year was injuries not a lack of competitive talent.
