We're not passing Bosa for a Ilb, period.

I prefer William Jackson over fuller by a mile. I also just am not a big fan of fullers overconfidence, his athletic and coverage skills are just not of a high enough caliber to get away with it consistently, he plays with a deion mentality but with half the athleticism and skill, I think he belongs on a team with an all around great defense for him to be successful.

And I will fully embrace the incoming negs...

If Ozzie Newsome thinks that Bosa is a future bust(which he very well may be) and thinks that Jack is the next great ILB because his potential is so freaking high, then he's taking the BPA.

Sorry to burst your bubble, just because you won't like it doesn't mean the man in charge will approve

Seriously, though, I'm with you. He is the absolute definition of a ballhawk and an absolute gambler. He's kinda like Ed Reed in that sense...

I don't like the "gambler" label that's frequently slapped on him. You just can't make that many plays on pure luck. Whether it's instinct or good football intelligence or film study or great play reading or little bit of all of that, I'm not sure but it definitely can't be just a gamble.

I call him a gambler because he has the extreme confidence to make the plays that he sees. He's extremely humble, works very hard, and has a very high football IQ, but he has the confidence to take what he sees and go for it.

I didn't mean you necessary, it's just something that pisses me off because it's thrown around a lot and very liberally without making any effort to check the facts.

I don't mind the gambler tag if people realize he takes chances because he's so damn smart and just has an overwhelming confidence in his skills. He's not clueless and just getting lucky; he works hard and prepares hard.

Yeah, I know why you use it but generally it's applied with negative connotations

As seen above.

I really just think people haven't seen enough of him. I think people see what he did (or didn't do) in 2015, but fail to realize he had a torn meniscus since the spring. Like, I frequently hear about the Michael Thomas stop and go (which might be the best in the country), but I never hear about how difficult it'd be to change direction that quickly on his injured knee. I really don't think people dig deep enough into his tape.

i would love myles jack to be our pick.

Thats a ILB build like safety with corner speed who can cover TE/RB/ slot WRs.

Mosley and him would wreck havoc like willis.bowman used to do.

Bosa/Buckner/Spence in the first, Fuller/Jackson III in the second and best available WR in the third (hopefully a guy like Shepard) would make me very happy.

Shephard and Michael Thomas ate my favorite recievers in the draft, but I don't see any of them falling to us even WR want them

I want Kendall Fuller in the second round over almost every other prospect barring a true surprise.

This man knows what's up.

He'll solve a lot of what's wrong with our defense. He's a playmaker and lives around the football. I think people make a lot of this and that variable, such as speed and technique, but it's really really really hard to improve on pure, natural instinct. You see natural understanding of ball skills in Fuller. It's like he came from the womb with a football. Lol

In all fairness this was posted before he went on the combine field and stumbled all over the place and generally looked like a top 10 guy rather than top 5...

Also I'd be fine with Jack over Bosa, I was just stating this based on how badly the boss man wants a pass rusher

Didn't need to see bosa on the track. I'm not his biggest fan. He shouldn't come off the board until pick 10 at the earliest

I want Ramsey, Tunsil, Jack, Stanley, Bosa and VH3 in that order for our #6 pick. The top available player on this list is a player I would be very happy with when we pick. I’m beginning to assume that there won’t be a single QB taken before we pick just based on some reports about Cleveland actively looking to trade fro Kaepernik and Jerry ‘Romo lover’ Jones saying he wants Romo for the next 4-5 yrs at a minimum.

If no qb goes before us and the top 5 goes as expected (tunsil, bosa, buckner, ramsey, jack) then I would be more than happy with shaq who showed much better athleticism than I expected, vh3 who didn't clock in short, I'm still tentative on Stanley though, I've heard unconfirmed rumors of laziness which wouldn't surprise me. I rrally am starting to like shaq, I think he's a perfect fit if he can drop to 265 and play a bit more nimble

Jack is certainly a need, which I don't think many people recognize. Smith is getting old and our coverage abilities from our LBs was pretty bad this year. Jack helps cover athletic tight ends and running backs that come over the middle or out into the flat. His ceiling might be the highest in this draft....

We need playmakers which he is and I don't think too many people would be upset by this pick, especially because our #2 corner spot is still in limbo and we are 90% likely to address the front 7 or LT with our first. Unless a major talent like Spence fell to the second, then I am on board.

I certainly think that Jack could be the best prospect in the entire draft, some analysts and scouts overuse the word versatile, but with Jack, he almost defines the word. I would be absolutely shocked if we didn't get a pass rusher though at some point early in the draft, by round 4 at least. I also though Bosa looked clumsy, but I doubt he slides past us if available for some reason
