I thought this was one position group that was solid going into this offseason and they wouldn't sign a known name. But if they can sign him to a cheap contract and he kills it then Ozzie looks like a genius again.

I don't know the details of the contract but as long as there isn't much in the way of guarenteed money I dont see the issue, hopefully its for vets minimum. Best case he proves he can play and can contribute, if he cant he is simply cut.

As far as I know there's no video of Trent Richardson throwing a right punch and knocking out his fiancé in an elevator. Ray Rice sucked the season before that happened. Ray's downfall was his own and no one else. What do we have to lose?

Let me try to understand this: The old hapless Cleveland Browns left Ohio in 1996 for Baltimore Md. and guess what happen? From 1996 to present, the Ravens earned two Superbowl rings. 1. Low Risk/High Reward move. I dig it. If this kid shows the potential he showed in college then we get a bargain. If not then he won't even make the team. No harm no foul. But I definitely think it's worth a shot. Some people take a while to reach their full potential. If it works out he can serve the "Big Bruiser" role that Ricky Williams played several years ago.

I'm with you. If he edges out Zo for the 3 spot then we have a short yardage bruiser and a guy thats not so injury prone. For no more cap space. If Ozzie Newsome is doing it then I trust it.
