I don't think Forsett will feel the effects of the danger zone age for running backs as early as some do. He wasn't used as much in the beginning of his career, meaning he may be slightly more fresh at his age compared to others. This is just a theory, but maybe there's some truth to it?

Just as someone explains what's wrong with these pictures...

I'm not certain I agree with the explanation. The guy (T. Richardson) is full of excuses, and has been his whole career....I don't see an explosion coming.

He's a former offensive lineman and college fullback.... I'd take his word for it.

And no one is saying Richardson will be a great back or be super explosive, but those plays are poor examples

you beat me to it, that was a lot of knowledge he just dropped.

a simple eye test told me dude wasn't running like he was his rookie year. he looks slower and unmotivated. to me, he has the talent. it's not like we paid a premium to get him like the Browns and Colts. if he is going to succeed, this is going to be his best chance.

imagine he plays to his hype coming out of college? THE STEAL BOYS, THE STEAL WE WOULD HAVE

Since you played O-Line at the collegiate level, question for you, why do all of the college O-Line players wear knee braces but then shed them when they get to the NFL?

Maybe to let their knees develop further? Might not be fully developed at the collage level, but when they get to about 22-23 they can take those hits? That'd be my guess anyway

I was thinking that as well or they're wearing them just to keep the mileage off their knees.

Best guess would be a mix of both i assume

Not directed at me, but my guess is they don't want to risk an injury and use the brace to maintain their stability. While NFL players don't want to get injured, think about how much unpaid college athletes want to avoid injury. That's the reason I heard when I briefly played CB and S at JHU when I got my BSN.

If healthy and focused Richardson will be the best RB on the roster and possibly the most dynamic weapon out of the backfield since 2011. Didn't really think Rice was that dynamic in 2012, obviously there were moments but overall wasn't special. Anyway I think Trent could be a tremendous weapon for the Ravens offense. At his best he's a well rounded RB who has big play capabilities with break away speed. He also brings the power and physical nature the Ravens love at RB.

The question becomes can the young man finally be at his best? Having something you love taken away from you often makes you realize how much you didn't fight hard enough to keep it. I'll be very interested to see how he responds.

I don't mind bringing him in on a cheap deal. Either the Ravens will manage to get him to play to his potential, or he'll be a cut. There's a chance for reward without any risk.

Thanks for the video. That was a nice watch. He certainly seems motivated and he also seems like he just hit rock bottom and became depressed after the trade, lost confidence, and may have finally got it back.

His comments on his kids caught me the most. He knows this is his last chance, and he has people he wants to take care of that need him.

I just hope that he becomes the 3rd down back for now.  Hopefully, he will get a few carries in the exhibition games to bolster his confidence.

I think he's got a chance because the Ravens will provide him the judgment free environment till training camp for him to find out for himself if he deserves to be in the NFL. I'm an optimist and believe that all people given the right opportunity and environment will be successful if motivated to succeed. What do we know about Trent? We know he has the physical tools to excel. So, if that is true, why won't he succeed?

Worse case, camp body that gets released and out of the league forever. Best case, our new young Jamal Lewis like Power back that can give us the solid run game needed to give Perrimen and Wallace all the space they need to fly.... Speaking which, could you imagine if we picked up a Will Fuller or Listenbee? That would be so awesome.

I look at him during his rookie season and I was really impressed. Still remember that helmet jarring hit against Philly, gotta love that from a RB. But just watching him from a far I thought there was certainly talent and potential to become one of the top backs in the NFL. Ran hard, showed great explosion and elusiveness in the open field and also proved to be a strong option in the passing game.

So the question becomes why were the Browns so eager to part ways with him? Was it change in management and Trent just not being "their guy" he mentioned how he struggled to adjust to being in a grown man environment instead of a structured one like college, but do you give up on a kid after only 1 year for that? They mentioned him not reading holes well but again is that enough to give up on a talented rookie? He was shipped to a new system, team, city and environment 2 games into his sophomore year, what did that do to his development?

Don't wanna make any excuses for him but the guy seems like he was dealt two bad hands with the Browns and Colts. It'll be interesting to see what a fresh start does for him.

Unfortunately, the dynamic of our team won't allow him to get good carries in preseason and he will be cut. He's too low on the depth chart. I wish to god we just nailed it with him in 1st Rd. Form

I think it's a combination of factors. The new regime didn't pick him. There were apparently questions about his vision, and thus, his fit with the team. Lastly, they were able to get a 1st out of a guy that the new regime wasn't fully on board with.

Pretty much all of this points to the gross mismanagement by both the Browns and the Colts.

There is no depth chart at the RB position right now. If you know anything about Harbs he's all about competition and in most cases he'll give the playing time to the guy who wants it more on the practice field.

By the time the PS rolls around Trent will have plenty of opportunities to work with the starting unit and prove himself

Lets hope so. Behind Forsett maybe he has a chance. I'm rooting for him. I really believe being traded screwed with the mental aspect of his game. He looks focused on that video. Let's hope we have a first round RB out of the deal

Agreed. I'm actually excited to see this guy. He's still young enough to have a long career if he finds a home here. He also doesn't have a ton of wear and tear. Guess it just really comes down to how bad he wants it.

Yeah I obviously don't expect much, but if he's motivated, this is the best situation he's had in his NFL career. Cautiously optimistic.

Yea Harbs said about a month ago that he loves Forsett as a person but the guy gaining the most yards will be the top RB. Not really a ringing endorsement for a guy who will be 31 years old and has a 3.7Mil cap hit.

Not saying Forsett will be cut, although I wouldn't be surprised, but I definitely think he'll have a strong battle on his hands in camp.

I think this says more about a lack of faith in LT than anything. I think forsett is the starter with buck Spelling him specifically in 3rd down because he was so good there in college and proved to be solid there in the pros as well. I think Trent is battling for the 3rd rb spot and we are still searching for our main guy who isn't on the roster yet. If bosa and Jack are off the board don't be surprised if we take zeke.

I disagree with this being about LT. I agree that the Ravens are searching for that main guy and I think Trent is a low risk shot at that. You can label him a bust and that might be fair but from a skills and potential stand point, Richardson is the only current RB that fits the bill of a front line guy imo.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Zeke as the pick at 6 because nobody knows what the Ravens are thinking. If he is the pick, noway Forsett stays imo.

I think the thing that encourages me the most is Richardson just lost like 20, 25 pounds in three weeks. That's really impressive.

The boy is an absolute freak in the weight room. Nobody has ever denied that.
