Maybe we can get him a lane detector.

Just an ear piece. Trent hole to your left. Run 17 degrees right. Will Have to put him in a remedial geometry class.

Dude Cleveland sucks the motivation out a lot of good players and I didn't even know of that situation, Same for my cousin T.West Cleveland traded him and then the Titans didn't even play him play him so it crushed him a bit when they released him but things workout and now they both have a chip on there shoulders thanks to the browns

How have things worked out? Is he in the NFL? signed to a team? Or, is the stigma of his immaturity still attached to him?

Could he have a career revival here? While I wouldn't count on it I think the talent is there for it to be possible. He had a solid rookie year in Cleveland, went to Indy and fell off the face of the Earth. Granted Indy hasn't produced the greatest conditions for their RB's, Frank Gore rushed for well over 1000 yds for 8 consecutive seasons (Not counting 2010 when he was injured) and he failed to hit the 1000 yd mark in Indy last year.

I think by the time T-Rich got to Oakland his confidence was in the gutter, he probably felt like he was unwanted and it showed in his play, he wasn't as committed to football and he was going through the motions because his heart wasn't in it. If he's going to have any sort of turn around in Baltimore he has to fall in love with the game again, he has to be committed mentally, he has to believe he was the #3 overall pick because he's a damn good football player and he's going to show up to practice with a chip on his shoulder and prove it. That stuff is all easier said than done, this is a make or break last chance for T-Rich, he's either going rise to the occasion or bust out of the league, there's really no in between for him at this point. It's all mental.

the way this dude played in college reminded me of jamal lewis.

one can hope he can revive his career and be like him.

our rb coach is pretty good and if he can work on his vision we might have a real bargain here.

There's no risk here and who knows, stranger things have happened. How great would it be to have a young beastly bruiser who could be counted on for the tough yard. We haven't had that for a long time.

Maybe the year off stoked his fire. Everything you said here is true especially the mental part.

Relax people

That's just Ozzie throwing teams off our draft selection in the 2nd

If we take Henry in the 2nd I'm changing teams.

A guy like Trent richardson gets a good fullback in front of him builds up steam and can get to the second level and do damage. Obviously field vision is a major concern.  You can negate that with a good blocking full back and let him power dive off him.

According to AL.com and now ESPN, were going to sign him. Me personally think this is a camp body move just to kick the tires on him, if I'm not mistaking he didn't play last season. Whats your guys take on this?

Camp body and practice squad bench warmer insurance policy at best.

Maybe he can resurrect his career in Baltimore, this year if hes signed, hell be competing with West and Zo i feel we're are using Trent as a plan B for Zo becuase hes always banged up, when hes healthy hes an important role player. With Forsett coming off a major broken arm  and Allen just getting into the swing of things, i think this can turn out to be an okay deal. Just need to teach him how to read the defense and increase his vision skills as well as hitting the right hole. Trent could be an asset. Bold Statement: Buck will be leading back at the end of this season

Throughout sports, not just the NFL you see players turn their careers around with new teams..so who knows? I don't think that should be the expectation, but just look at Justin Forsett. None of us here thought he would have taken the starting spot and be a top 5 rusher in his first year.

We all know his reputation but some of the highlights for him, especially from Cleveland, are legit. Even in Indy, he was running over Matt Elam but does that really count?

I know he hasnt exactly taken the NFL by storm but why wouldn't you sign a former third overall pick to a minimum just 4 years after he entered the league? Worst case we cut him before the season starts. Maybe he has had too much pressure and not enough support. Browns, Colts, Raiders. Not exactly the symbol of a rational front office.

just listened to the full 30 minutes. dude seems like his head is right. i'm super excited for the potential.

This was insightful. Trent does a good job describing how easily you can lose your way when you step outside of a regimented college life and into the NFL. I'm glad he's getting another chance with the Ravens. I'd love to see him succeed.

The Trent Richardson evaluation is very intriguing to me. I don't necessarily like it due to his recent years, which have been painful to watch, but a part of me hopes he's given a shot. I'm just curious to know what you guys think about the whole thing. Do you see him competing for the 3rd RB spot with Terrence West and Zo? Is he worth looking at as a short yardage back? Do you envision him ever reaching a starting role as a Raven?

We brought him in for a workout, though, didn't we? And then never signed him? Hmmm...

Maybe we're just waiting to get deals done with our own guys first, see where we stand cap-wise, or maybe we just didn't like what we saw.

Zrebiec reported that its still possible to go down, but they put it on the back burner while they get everything else sorted out. I doubt anyone else is chomping at the bit to sign him, and even if they do, it's no big loss.

I think they sign him after we finish with  our own free agents. But, after listening to the interview, I think if he can accept coaching with humility and compete for a roster spot, you never know... he might fulfill that potential.

I clearly remember him missing a 15 foot hole in front of him for an easy score only to run around the RT and get a yard in the play. Absolutely no field vision. He must've gotten lazy after going pro because he was an absolute monster in college

I know the play.  We had a player with a hearing impediment, no one knew about and we squared him away. It's early and I have a mental block and can't remember.

It hasn't looked good for Richardson, but I remember his Alabama days and he was better than he's been in the NFL. There's some kind of issue with him. If they can figure it out he could contribute.  I like the move in giving him a shot and he is not old. He's only about 4 years out of Alabama (correction 5 years with the year off in 2015) and came out as a Junior.
