Updated: Trent Richardson signed by Ravens

According to AL.com and now ESPN, were going to sign him. Me personally think this is a camp body move just to kick the tires on him, if I'm not mistaking he didn't play last season. Whats your guys take on this?

Doesnt hurt.  Im not sold on any of our RBs for the future, how old is he now? who knows, he could have a massive chip on his shoulder, but i dont see it as anything that matters at the moment.

I clearly remember him missing a 15 foot hole in front of him for an easy score only to run around the RT and get a yard in the play. Absolutely no field vision. He must've gotten lazy after going pro because he was an absolute monster in college

Ozzie did say we'd be very active in FA lol

He's a former top 5 pick, we'll kick the tires for a cheap deal and see if he has anything. If not, there's someone cheaper out there.

I'd hate to face him as a LB. Can you imagine?

"Ok i'm going to fill this MASSIVE hole in the line to stop the ru- wait, where's he going?"

He can't find a hole to save his life! C'mon son this is strictly a move to get the RB's motivated

Ozzie and his Alabama products. Maybe this signing is to help the Offensive line get better at blocking  as Trent runs right into the butts instead of the designed hole. Maybe he has his head on straight this time around.

If our coaches really think they can help with his running knowledge we could have a steal on our hands. Or he can get cut. Doesn't hurt either way.

One thing is for sure, it can't hurt. Like some of you know, I do have Alabama connections and a lot of T-Rich's problems were/are off the field. Great guy.. I just mean he gets distracted. Being traded by Cleveland crushed him. He felt betrayed and I think it really rattled his confidence. Just letting y'all know a brief backstory in a way. I'm not saying he will stick. Just don't mind seeing if he has anything. IF he can get focused, he is still young enough to turn it around.

Dude Cleveland sucks the motivation out a lot of good players and I didn't even know of that situation, Same for my cousin T.West Cleveland traded him and then the Titans didn't even play him play him so it crushed him a bit when they released him but things workout and now they both have a chip on there shoulders thanks to the browns

I look at this move as a non vote of confidence for the current rb's currently on this roster. Taliaffero and West especially. Forsett maybe the only one that sticks. lol. I do believe the Ravens will add a running back in the draft or free agency aside from the Richardson acquisition. Richardson to me is dumpster fire pick thru that will be answered during training camp. He'll have to take very little money as he has no cards to play in the game of do you want to play poker game. I'm looking for more surprises as this came out of left field.

Just to compete as a camp body.  If he looks like he's one of the top 3 backs, he'll stay.  If not, he's cut.  We're not (at least i hope not) going to be addressing the biggest holes on this team until the draft, anyway,
