Honestly im going to be heart broken if Daryl Smith doesn't come back next season. He's a great player. Yeah he is getting old though. But i still think he can help this team get back to where we belong.

I think sometimes analyst don't think before they talk. Regarding the comment about Eugene and K.O. I think Ozzie is pretty much spot on with what he said. Monroe is the starter LT (always have been unless he as injured), K.O is a FA which he is. Why say K.O will and is the starting LT when....he's a....FA?! Doesn't make sense because he can take a better deal somewhere else. What Ozzie said about being active in FA has nothing to do with Joe's agent lol. Everyone knows our cap number and the Ravens will do what they need to get good guys in. If Joe wants to win like he said, his agent can't make the ultimate decision. It's on Joe. Analyst please pump your breaks

For me, I think KO is 99% gone, Vets will be cut, Will Hill will start next to Webb simply because he is much better all-around than Lewis, and Flacco's deal will stay as is, until after the roster is ravaged. not saying that is a bad thing, but the tweet of the day was this one "With Webb's move to safety, the Ravens currently have Jimmy Smith at corner followed by some other dudes who may or may not be really bad." Lmao classic

If we trade with San Diego and don't get Jalen Ramsey then someone should be fired. Myles Jack doesn't show up before 6 in ANY mock draft and Ramsey is usually between 3 and 6. So to trade up to the third spot and get anyone but Ramsey is just insanity.

I've never been a fan of free agency. During the season a player says, " I am a (fill in the team) all out player, heart and soul!" ......a few million dollars more later in FA....the same player on his NEW TEAM says, "I am excited about being a (fill in the team) heart and soul!". Just once, I would like to hear a player say "I don't care what someone wants to pay me elsewhere, I am a (fill in the team) and here to stay!". But....back to reality, lol. GO RAVENS!

Free Agent Targets: T. Hali and O. Vernon.

You're kidding me right?

You do realize Vernon is like a $12-15M a year player? How do you think we come up with that kind of coin?

Stop considering either of those players... they won't be Ravens. FAR out of our price range.

I love the idea of drafting Myles Jack. Although I am a huge fan of Daryl Smith I think Myles far more athletic than any linebacker we have and would limited the 3rd down plays that seem to kill us at the wrong time. Vets that need to be cut imo are Lewis Monroe Pitta Canty and Smith if dead salary cap money is not an issue. The last time we let go of a lot of fan favorites (mason heap etc) at once was in 2011 we finished just short of a sb and we won a super bowl a year later.

RGIII wants to be a starter. No way he would come here and play back-up. Besides, we already have some back-ups that showed promise last year.

Nothing in this segment of LFW makes me feel good about anything. I get a sense that Flacco's agent is asking for far more money than Joe's worth or the Ravens can afford. I feel like k.O may end up shopping Baltimore's deal to the highest bidder. Surely, a smiling Perriman isn't the same as a Perriman that can run and catch the ball on game day. Lastly the notion of seeing RGIII in a Ravens uniform is revolting.
However, all of this was preceded by the absolutely disgusting news of the Ravens trying to sign Trent Richardson. Yes, the same Trent Richardson.

Let me put it this way. Myles Jack already has the instincts of a 10 year vet, he is the fastest ILB prospect we have seen in a long time, he plays with an intimidation factor kinda like this guy who led our defense for almost two decades and wants to be the bully. On top of that he embraces coverage, and would often line up at corner for UCLA, covering WR's 40 yards down field. Youtube Voch Lombardi Miles Jack and you can see some great film of his ability. He is the most polished player in this draft and is probably the best athlete as well. He played RB for UCLA also.

i like Harbs and GM Ozzie Newsome, but their fear of Flacco and his agent are going to cost this team this season. If does both coach and GM could be gone next season, and i would not blame the owner if he did it.

I think Ozzie's made it perfectly clear he's willing to call Linta's bluff; and if they won't be reasonable, Joe's cap number this year DOESN'T scare him. We let it ride and go to Plan B, and Ozzie always has a Plan B. Nobody's getting fired - that's ridiculous.

The very fact that we just made a highly competitive offer to KO tells me that both sides are a lot closer than people think. Joe's not stupid, having an OLine that keeps him upright ensures his money-making ability for the long haul, not just this year.

I really don't want another ILB. Seriously, this game is won on D with pass rush and cover corners. ILB just can't be involved enough in the passing game to have the impact of a DE or CB. You can find decent enough ILB on the free agent market..........cheap. Jack might be a hell of an ILB, but we already drafted Mosley and really need other things on D.

Well, Joe has thrown 46 interceptions in his last 42 regular season games so it is understandable if Linta wants to squeeze the Ravens.

We need a replacement for Daryl Smith, and Mosely isn't even close to Jack in terms of physicality, speed, and reaction time. Mosely has struggled to cover TE's and RB's in space. That is Jack's biggest strength. Jack's versatility would be a huge benefit to the defense. He could even play nickel corner on passing downs. Jack will likely be gone before we draft at No. 6 though. Jack's ability, much like Ray Lewis in his prime will create turnovers and it will create 3rd and long which will get your defense off the field.

Low offer to Flacco if he says no then use the next few years to rebuild. when his contract is up say good bye and go from there. He never was or never will be worth the money they gave him

Actually, that's what Flacco's agent did three years ago.  He's not asking for anything now.  The team is the side doing the asking.  Linta is simply ignoring them.

o_0  So what exactly does "calling Linta's bluff" entail?

Remember when you were a kid, and when you were misbehaving in the car your parents would say "Stop it right now or I'll turn this car around"?  That's a bluff.  Continuing to act up in the back seat was your way of calling your parents' bluff.

Ozzie is the one who is bluffing, and Linta is calling it.  Unless you are suggesting that the Ravens are prepared and willing to cut Flacco, then the best Ozzie can muster is "If you don't settle down right now I'll drive this car to the ice cream shop."
