Ravens Are Hungier Than Pitt

23 posts in this topic

no team in the nfl is hungrier than baltimore. you can just tell by how they play, loose balls, INTs, hits, how runs are finished, everything. i think we go into pitt and expose their corners, hit the offense in the mouth and forced multiple turnovers vs a QB whos prone to throw INTs when pressured

Don't be so sure. If you think that this game doesn't mean a lot to us too, you're mistaken.

That said, I will say Ravens make up for not having the statistically best team with heart, and that counts for a lot.

Yup.

A win on Sunday and I will feel MUCH better than I do right now.

yeah, the colts scared me the most. pitt doesnt scare me too much just cuz their offense is mediocre. and i also think that if we beat pitt, then the superbowl is basically ours, we're far more physical then either philly or the cardinals

There's only one team left in the playoffs that can beat the Ravens and the Ravens are playing them on Sunday. It will be about who wants it more. Injuries are apart of the game.

I agree here...I think the best team remaining in the playoffs is Pittsburgh...but I don't see us losing to them 3 in a row...

I agree with you guys that the hungriest team is the Ravens...and I hope our determination and TEAM spirit carry us all the way to the top. This may not be the greatest team statistically that the Ravens have ever fielded (it IS our best Offense and the speed and intensity of our D is probably the best) but their heart and TEAM attitude is the best I have EVER seen a Ravens team display.

No matter what happens...the Ravens have really taken it to a whole 'nother level under Harbaugh, and we can all be proud of what they have accomplished this season.

I think that Pittsburgh is going to be lulled into a false sense of accomplishment with the win over the Chargers.

They were road weary and not very good this year. The Ravens want this game, and the Steelers should really be concerned with what they saw against Tennessee, as the offense was not on its regular game.

It comes down to heart. Its not about who is healthier, or who beat who in the regular season. Its about heart and stopping a drive when times look tough or scoring in the clutch because you know you have to. Its a battle of wills and if we win then this Ravens team should go down as having the biggest hearts in team history. No bye week, huge IR list, rookie QB, rookie head coach. I know that we have seen all that Pittsburgh is about and they are not going to change their game plan, and that plays to our advantage. We know how to beat them and we also know what not to do. The Ravens have the biggest heart in football and they will show it on Sunday.

I'd love to know where Pittsburgh gets all their confidence from. Yea so they scored 34 points on the Chargers.. a team that has one of the worst Pass protection in the league If I remember right Manning was throwing on them all day as well. And the fact is that the Chargers front 7 is NOT better then ours.. Even tired. I'd be semi worried if Rolle is out. Considering we have to keep Heath Miller,Ward and Holmes all covered at ALL time. The fact is we CANT play it safe in this game. We have to come out hard hitting and throwing the football. We have our entire season to lose if we dont. This playing to just slide by with a win **** is getting annoying. This is how we have had 3 of our losses this season. Let Flacco throw it deep, at LEAST 15-20 times this game. We have to if we want a chance at winning this. Im almost 100% positive that Mcclain will play(he said so). He needs to pound that front 7 wear them down a bit then put Rice and Mcgahee out to break lose for the big run. I have no doubt that we can win this game. We just have to prove we want it more.

I think it comes down to execution. Heart means a lot, injuries play a part, but executing at the right time will determine the winner.

Tennessee played a great game, but they didn't execute when it counted. They got down the field, but couldn't score. The Ravens executed when it counted. They may have let the Titans march down the field, but they executed when it counted and kept the Titan's points off the board.

I think the Pittsburgh game will be the same - hardhitting and the winning team will be whichever team executes at the right time.

I seriously think it can go either way, but I'll be cheering for a Ravens' win!

The ravens are battle tested. The Squeelers are a good team but they just beat a soft AFC west team at home. AFC west. A joke.

The Ravens go on the road and win two games in less than a week.

THey get an extra day to rest up until Sunday.

The Squeelers are the team that should be worried. I really think the Ravens can knock them off this time around.
