Nick Boyle suspended 10 games

To be fair, he's like the 3rd string TE. I don't understand why people are calling to cut him and to focus on snagging a TE in the draft/FA. Leave him on during the suspension (He won't count against the cap or the 53 man roster) and either promote Ford or Reuland until we know Pitta's situation or can get a UDFA/Vet min player to fill the hole

Smh.   He has talent.   Boyle is either incredibly insecure or his small school mentality is getting on his head.

One more dumb move and he is a goner.

I think that by now we all know Pitta's situation.

He was a perfect slice of bread that went into the toaster and came out totally burnt and inedible. That's the story of Nick Boyle.

Boyles 10 game suspension may get overturned. The ped (steroid) he texted for takes up to a year to clear the system. So he probably just got retested and it just did not clear his system yet. Why he would take something that takes so long to clear his system I have no clue. My guess is somebody gave him bad info on beating the ped screening. BTW Maxx is already looking really good!! Getting in shape faster than anybody thought. Not just buffed but I hear running routes like a receiver. Getting brought down so decisively by a cornerback was his wakeup call.

Nandralone decanate was one of them. Tested positive again cuz it was probably in his system when he was retested. Decanate could of been test decanate which is usually found in a preloaded steroid cocktail called sustanon. Which clears faster than nandralone decanate but nonetheless a long time to leave the system.

This is terrible and almost too weird to happen again before he returns to the field because of a previous suspension. Where did he get this stuff?

"DAG-NABBIT" Boyle this just stinks every time I read it and think about it. Guys I think the part that stinks most is how much  promise he showed us as a rookie and to just let it happen this way and its the second time for the same thing I just don't understand it. As a fifth rounder it looked like Oz found another diamond in the rough but this guy just does not seem very smart with some aspects of the NFL.

This depends on whether he passed tests in between both failed tests. Pretty interesting observation tho.

Yeah, let's cut him. That makes sense. No need for us to keep a guy we won't have to pay while he's suspended and who won't count towards the 53 roster during this time. Pretty stupid on his part, but come on now--let's not talk about cutting a player even if this is his second suspension unless the team cuts him. The team knows more than any of us do.

Bingo.

Makes absolutely no sense. Theres absolutely no down side to keeping him, and he showed quite a bit of potential during his rookie season. He can take part of all offseason activites, we dont have to pay him, we get cap relief in terms of signing bonus and prorated salary, dont have to roster him, etc...

Plus we may end up needing a TE who can make plays and block late on in the season with Gillmore and Maxx's history of missing time.

And we've shown loyalty to young players in similar situations in the past.
