I think he was suspended 3 games,

it's like a bad episode of the movie Friday's

"how you gonna get fired on your day off"

@ nick boyle, "how you gonna get suspended on your suspension"

TE was not a position of need for us this draft, does that change now?  This actually gives Pitta some leverage if he's actually cleared. SMH!

Still think it's funny that something that actually affects the games gets you 10 games for your 2nd suspension but something off field (assault or weed) can have you out for a year.

Again? Who's this guy? Why would you do PED's after being suspended the final 4 games? Stunning really! A promising career wasted, and to be truthful, a valuable draft pick wasted. SMH

I don't think so. We still have Maxx and Gillmore. To me, in an ideal world, Gillmore spends more time as a blocking TE and Maxx becomes the pass catching TD.

Perhaps means we may have to add somebody in the middle/late part of the draft, or maybe sign a super cheap veteran blocking TE, but I don't really feel like its a major loss. I never understand the love for Boyle as anything more than a blocker anyway, so I don't consider this a huge loss.

It still isn't a need. We have two quality guys at the position and some developmental players. There will be plenty cheap veteran free agents as well.

And if all that fails, we can always ask Billy Bajema to come back

He's gonna be cut soon; no wonder dude ran wild in few games he played in: too much steroids in the body.....

Not surprised he'll be on the street anytime soon; I mean he has yet established any  kind of career highlights in his rookie year and still went out and commit repetitive drug abuse. Yes, he has potential, but all NFL players have potential, so it makes him a grain in millions.

What a waste.....

Not really a fair comparison, considering in order to be banned for a year for marijuana, you need to test positive I believe at least 6-7 times. You've basically earned what you've gotten with that kind of stupidity.

For what its worth, in order to be suspended 10 games for PEDs, you needed to have tested positive at least 3 times I believe.

He wasn't busted for steroids the 1st time.

I know that's why he said repetitive drug abuse.....since we all know it is his second time, i didn't elaborate on my part...

Oh well, It's been a while since we signed or cut Phillip Supernaw

I laughed out loud at this.

But yeah, Boyle is as good as cut.  He was likely the #3 TE anyway so that doesn't make TE a need at all, as of now

He was the 3rd TE and contributed quite a bit last season.  Personally I was more impressed w/ Boyle last season than I was with Maxx.

Yeah, let's cut him. That makes sense. No need for us to keep a guy we won't have to pay while he's suspended and who won't count towards the 53 roster during this time. Pretty stupid on his part, but come on now--let's not talk about cutting a player even if this is his second suspension unless the team cuts him. The team knows more than any of us do.

TE isn't a major need, but TEs do get injured quite often, so 3 TE in the roster isn't too much, and Pitta is as good as retired, so I wouldn't be shocked if we drafted another late round TE.

So did he do it AGAIN or is this just double jeopardy?  If I recall correctly Von Miller was only banned for 4 games for PED's.

Just dumb.  He won't be cut yet, of course, but one more slip up pretty much ends his career.  He's gotta get it together.
