[News] Why Leslie Frazier Chose Ravens

20 posts in this topic

Welcome to Baltimore Coach Frazier! You won't be disappointed with anything Ravens I promise. John is a loyal coach who sticks by his players, team and coaches. Thank you for accepting the job!

I wouldn't be surprised if this is our best offseason acquisition. He brings a lot of experience. I wouldn't be surprised if this is like the Kubiak signing of 2 seasons ago and he may turn our defense into a top 5 defense again. I wouldn't be surprised if he was also here only for a season and gets payed higher elsewhere at a higher position. That seems like the trend here. I think the Ravens revive some of these coaches that didn't really have a chance elsewhere.

Maybe he eventually replaces Dean Pees. How can we rid ourselves of him?

I hope not the real reason is that he wanted to come here because he wanted a opportunity to be a head coach again. Hope not because usually how good our organization is teams wanted to keep pick up our staffs to become coordinators or coaches hope Leslie not one of them. I think he going to be a very good secondary coach for us. I rather have Leslie be our defensive coordinator instead of that lousy Dean Pees.

Welcome to the Flock Leslie, the secondary can do damage just tell them not to blitz because teams are waiting on it now and it's just not the time rite now, big ben waited on the blitz in the last meeting and received an "L"! Rush four no more than five and get a CB #1 pick and move Webby to the middle, he's the next Ed Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeed and it's a WRAP! P.S. don't win and leave us thanx!

“Knowing there are some pieces to the puzzle here,” he said. “This team is not that far away.”

When you hear that from incumbent coaches, you always contribute it to coach talk.

But when you hear it from a coach who hasn't had a chance to work w/ the players, you have to be excited about the potential.

Welcome aboard coach and best of luck to you.

Well the secondary is going to improve without a doubt. Sometimes, a new coach, especially one that is as heralded as Leslie Frazier is all you need to kick start greatness. Good move Coach Harbs and thank you Coach Frazier!

I hope he is able to get the best out of Jimmy. I also think Brooks , Davis , and Walker can get better. Also, you add another coach with DC experience to make the scheme better suit the talent.

Great choice by the Ravens. The secondary will be better next season.

hopefully they continue where they left off in the final half of the season.

Curious... Is it the dB coach or DC that has players 10 yards off the Los?

combination of those 2 along with the players decision.

DC decides what your assignment will be.

DB coach teaches the players the techniques he can use while trying to complete those assignments.

players themselves will have to judge what will be the best way to complete the assignment based on the situation at that point.

of course there is more to it but this is the basis.

He knows the Ravens' organization is a great springboard for better jobs elsewhere ;) But seriously, really happy to have him. I have to wonder if he would get considered for the DC position in 2017 if Pees continues his underwhelming performance.

This is a very knowledgeable dude and I think we are very fortunate to have him on our staff.  I think adding his mindset and abilities will add some aggression to our defense.
