I just don't see what will make teams feel like they need to draft Jones. He may never be more than a special teams guy, he was quite the liability in coverage in All his years at Alabama, expecting anything more than a ST ave would be extremely wishful thinking

He is actually pretty decent press corner, very physical for his size. I can see him do very well in the slot and extra support guy in run defense. Also, he isn't just run of the mill STer, he's got some mad returning skills.

Personally watching his tape Jones is not that much of a liability.  His problem is the limited size.  But he has the speed and quickness to keep up with most widerecievers.

But his size has been exploited often, he has average downfield coverage ability and struggles to hang with any kind of quality route runner, and when looking at his overall body of work he doesn't look like a nfl caliber corner.

I could be wrong, and I really like Jones for a lot of reasons, but all I see is a ST ace and I'm not sure if other teams would view that as highly as us

The evaluation of Nkemdiche is hilarious, I seriously think that scenario is plausible. lmao Jack is another not so sexy pick in the first, but will show he is worth it during the season. Make my words, the worst case ontario here is that we take Spence or Jack in round 1 if Buckner, Bosa, Ramsey, and Tunsil are gone, which is still winning to me. Round 2 is always interesting so we will see after day 1 who is left.

Like the players, just don't see 3 picks going to the secondary. I understand we will have more picks than what's represented here, but 3/7 going secondary? We just have too many bodies already at those positions. I would like to see another DE or OL in there instead.

I agree with Tunsil going 1 especially since Mariota got hurt. As much as they may want a beast DE, they need to protect their prized possession.

I mean no disrespect but Thompson has made plenty of mistakes back in coverage. While he has shown ball skills, he's also shown lack of awareness in man coverage and he's blown assignments and let guys get downfield and get open. I like him a lot but he's hardly a perfect safety like some appear to believe. So I don't think he's better than Fuller just because Thompson has generated some hype atm. I still like both, but I need to see how Thompson tests at the combine with his 3 cone because his gambles haven't always panned out and I frankly want to see if he's got the athleticism to compensate for these gambles. I'm not sure he does, although the combine may change my mind.

I like Thompson a ton obviously. I have noticed Several other safety's names being projected ahead of him, of late(Neal,Joseph and Bell ).

Apart from Bell once, I haven't. Joseph's injury, coupled with his size/play style that favors injury should scare teams before the end of the 2nd, and I haven't seen Neal higher than the 3rd very often.
