I have a really strong feeling the Cowboys will choose Ezekiel Elliott at 4. Cowboys always reach. Would mean a player we actually want falls one more spot.

They have been drafting very well lately,  I don't see them reaching that far becuase of the value.  Can't remember their cap situation,  but I could see Chris ivory going there

The Cowboys will probably take Ramsey. I could see them taking Myles Jack instead, but Ramsey is the most likely one.

Very interesting stat regarding Deforest Buckner- He played over 950 snaps, leading all interior defenders on defense. He also played two games of over 100 snaps. However, despite this CFB leading snap count for interior defenders, he didn't lose production.

That's making me warm up on him...

Buckner really understands how to use his length to win at the line of scrimmage in the run game. I am not quite sold on him as a pass rusher but there are worse ways to spend our pick if he is on the board.

best wr can be above best de , right ? in some cases...
or best qb , or best cb
i like buckner , i didn't say nothing bad about him ) but obviosly he is not "№1" , he is "one of the best"

You didn't list best player at their position because you listed both Treadwell and Coleman who are both WR and Robinson and Nkemdiche who are both DL. I personally like Buckner more than Robinson as a DL. Also I'm not sure what position Jaylon Smith will play as it depends on who you ask lol. I also didn't intend to sound condescending by saying "list some players" so I hope you don't feel that way.

I mostly agree about the pass rushing, at the very least it's safe to say he's more refined in stopping the run.

BUT..... here's his sacks numbers in college:
2012:  13 games, 1.0 sacks
2013:  12 games, 2.5 sacks
2014:  15 games, 4.0 sacks
2015:  13 games, 10.5 sacks.

If anything he's trending in the right direction.  If I didn't know any better, I'd say someone left the team after 2014 and Buckner's responsibilities changed.  I think he'll respond well if we give him opportunities to succeed.

That's my concern with Buckner. I like him a ton, but I don't see him as a developed pass rusher yet. In time, I think he could get there, but that's not a guarantee to me.

Upshaw had 9.5 sacks in 2011, college stats are not always a good indicator of what someone can do at the next level

If we really had our eyes set on either Buckner or Bosa, then the key selection would have to come from SD taking Ramsey at 3, which I think leads Dallas to selecting either Bosa or Jack. But then again Cleveland could defy the odds and go defense and there goes every single individual's mock draft lmao

I know it's not a popular opinion, but the Broncos can only give the franchise tag to one other person.  And Cousins has hit a snag with his contract negotiations.  I think Cleveland definitely gives Cousins and Osweiler a call the second it's not tampering.  Hopefully that still gives us enough time revise all our predictions here before the draft.  :)

Sure.  But  I'd say Upshaw was a surprising disappointment in that regard, and perhaps a fluke.  I also like Buckner's trend towards showing improvement.  I'm not even saying it WILL happen.  But there's evidence to show it could.

I could see the Browns going after Osweiler or Bradford in free agency. If they do get one, they'll probably trade down with a team wanting a QB (like the Eagles, Saints, or Rams). If they get one and don't trade down, then it could force the Ravens further than down their board (which would suck). Worst case scenario would be the Ravens getting Jaylon Smith (could be good, but not sure if Pees would use him well enough), or Spence (which would still improve our passrush).

If the Ravens can't get Buckner, Bosa, or Jack, then I would really want to trade down.

I think that will just force Denver to pay Miller early, so that they can tag Osweiler. Or the other way around.

With Mayock hyping Buckner as the best defensive talent in this draft, I doubt he falls to us now. I can envision a scenario where 5 of the players we might like to see come here - Bosa, Ramsey, Buckner, Tunsil and Myles Jack all taken before we draft. If such scenario should happen and we don't find a trading partner to move back (or find a partner that isn't willing to give up enough), then I can see us going VH3 in the first. I was thinking maybe Noah Spence, but I can't see that happening with his past.

Was just thinking about that sort of situation for what I want to do with my updated who should we take at #6 coming to a thread near you after the combine. The thing is, if the Browns go somewhere else and no QB is taken, we may be able to capitalize on a team eager to get a QB. Still too early to speculate on it all as FA still needs to happen but if the top 5 are all gone, hopefully we can capitalize.

You make a valid point, but whichever team is really thinking QB may actually decide to wait or maybe trade back after the Niners pick. They could very easily trade with the team prior to the Rams to get one of two top QBs, either Goff or Wentz assuming the Niners pick one of them. May have to give up far less than trading with us. I don't know how it plays out, but it is possible.

Yeah tough situation for sure, I think Cleveland goes QB though, I don't think they have much of a choice at this point unless they get someone in FA

Actually to be honest I would pick Spence or Nkemdiche over Buckner and Bosa!! I would like Bosa over Spence maybe if ravens ran a 4-3. But in 3-4 I would prefer Spence at rush olb. And I would take Nkemdiche over Buckner in .05 second's!!

My only concern with Buckner is his pass-rushing prowess. He seemed to pick on some really bad OLs to get his production. I still really like him, but I wouldn't expect him to be a guy who is a force as an interior pass-rusher. I think Nkemdiche and even Rankins are better interior rushers.

How about AShawn Robinson and Billings??

Nkemdiche played awesome against Alabama one game then the next week sucked. He isn't consistent. I feel the Ravens have to many of those players already. One week we do great, the next lose to a crappy team

I think Nkemdiche in the 2nd would be amazing and he may fall that far due to bad reports of not finishing plays and not hustling. Most have already said they would not draft him in the top 15.

Robinson is more of a run stuffer imo. I like Billings, but he doesn't have the size and athleticism to dominate at the next level imo. He could turn into a mike daniels type but I think that would be very optimistic.

Did you watch him vs Miss St? That might be the most dominant performance I have ever seen from a DT. I agree that he has some issues, but his raw talent is off the charts. I've cooled off on him a bit because he could very well be a head case. Talent wise, I think he is a top 5 guy in this draft.

The Ravens won't draft Wentz. Comparing him to Luck is just hyperbole imo. I would compare him more closely to Blake Bortles, still raw but upside is there.
