I see what you did in there Pitta boy 3 years 3 kids Lol...man i doesnt get the jaguars in front of us...i know is that stuff of most difficult schedule but why when
we are on the playoffs side of the history they considere the juaguars in front of us because they won against us and then in the draft they gave then a better position...and the worst part is that they probably will get ramsey one of the guys we want it.

I like Pitta. But, he needs to stop saying the same thing each year. It gets old even though he may want to play (giving him the benefit here), the entire world knows he won't. So why say it? I'm not saying he's to blame in any way, but if he is serious about coming back, then sign a new contract at veteran's minimum for a year and show it on the field. With 2 yrs of healing, I'm hoping he does really well for himself. But, should he be told by his doctors not to risk it, we know he wouldn't because he says as much.

Yeah. That sucks. It's really hard to believe just how much of a difference 1 spot makes in the draft when drafting that high, but it makes a Huge difference.

Strength of schedule dictates ties in draft position.

All these concerns about Treadwell are misleading in my opinion. You know who else ain't got game breaking speed? Guys like DeAndre Hopkins or Anquan Boldin... If you can play you will make plays no matter what and I think Treadwell would complement the Ravens very well, since we don't need him to be a speed WR.

Agreed!! Our own SSS doesn't have game breaking speed, but he seems to get open a lot.

Running great routes will get you open more than just having game breaking speed.

Thanksgiving night how about a home Monday night game. NFL should stop disrespecting us. How about it Roger. You owe us after last years schedule.

Well, I'm not sure the NFL is gonna start crediting us by bringing an MNF game to altimore after a 5-11 season... If a Super Bowl season wasn't enough for that, a non-playoiff season will hardly make the cut...

Seeing that such a catasptrophic season was "only" enough to land us at #6 on the draft chart, what I keep wondering about is how badly you must suck to get the top spot...

Not that much worse than we did, at least from the scoreboard side.

Its losing two more games, and we are in a three way tie for the worst record in the league.

Think about some of the wins we had... Pittsburgh, where we won a kicking competition, and Cleveland, where we block a kick for a TD.

Basically, if we just had worse ST, we would almost certainly be picking in the top 3.

Can someone please tell me the truth about Dennis Pitta's situation? What happens to his pay if he retires/gets cut/stays on roster? I always liked Dennis but feel like there is no way he is returning to football. If that is in fact true and he retires what happens to his pay and the cap hit compared to having him string us along and stand on the sidelines watching every year?

Looking at the pie chart and realizing one more loss would have guaranteed us an opportunity to draft Ramsey makes me sad.

We did have a few games that were real close that could've/ should've been losses. It's the stigma of being a 2-14, 3-13 team that would wrench my gut regardless of what pick we would get.

well thats the thing, his route running isn't very polished or crisp. And without speed and good route running he isn't worthy of the sixth pick.

the players you mentioned were drafted 27th and 54th respectively. i think treadwell is a first round talent, just not at pick six.

And some games that should have been wins:

- the no call vs the Jags that the NFL stated the next day should have been called and would have ended the game in our favor.

- the bad PI call at the end of the game vs Hill against Oakland.

That's pretty much what I thought. So can I officially ask BR.com to please stop propagating the Dennis Pitta story with headlines like today's " Dennis Pitta hasnt given up yet". It's over. He is finished. We have 3 quality TE's on our roster. The team has obviously moved on. He was a good part of our team but it's time for all of us to move on. He was never going to return, it is all about money. Please stop and let him fade away quietly.

Last year, the Browns and Saints got home MNF games after going 7-9,the Falcons got one after going 6-10 and the Redskins got one after going 4-12.In 2014,the Redskins got one after going 3-13.If you would give MNF home games to those teams,I honestly don't see why you wouldnt want to give one to us with the stadium, lively fan base and team we usually field.

Please Pitta do us a favour by retiring before March 1, we can use that 6mil to get better as a team.

Just FYI, that's actually the exact opposite of what we want him to do.

If he retires prior to June 1, he carries $6.6M in dead money this season with only $600K in cap savings.

They can actually free up $4M in cap savings if he retires after June 1, though we don't get to see that money until then.

Either way, he won't be back at his present salary.

I don't know what makes sense money-wise and all that, but I sincerely hope Pitta can come back. There are few players in the league that are more likable, and few more deserving of another chance.

Cant settle for what we get this year as our defense is either old or bad. We need to move up and grab Ramsey. Then move back in and grab another first round defensive player if a quality rusher drops down the first round. No doubt Ramsey will be the biggest impact player in this draft and if Ozzie sits still or moves back and takes what he gets, then he will have another losing season and he will be considering a forced retirement. Bisciotti will either sell the team because he can't stand losing or he will demand some sacrifices. Ozzie may be one of those sacrifices, especially since Eric DeCosta has been sitting on the back burner for years, so the team knows exactly what they have when Ozzie goes. Probably the only team in the league set up to allow their GM to retire if he keeps making poor draft decisions. Ozzie said he will retire when it stops being fun. Another losing season means 2 losing seasons in a row and 3 out of 4 that we didn't make the playoffs. That can't constitute a good time. The Front office and coaching staff can't afford to make even 1 mistake this year.

I mean this might be diving off the deep end a little but I do get that there is a sense of urgency in this draft and our 2016 roster. I think that Tunsil, Bosa, and Ramsey are all worth moving up for, but then again those pesky Jags might rain on our parade. If Dallas was to do a swap with us for a 3rd rounder or a future 2nd or later pick and one of those three are there I would pull the trigger because those are talents that transcend schemes and will immediately improve our roster. Trading up twice though....that would be costly. I will bet a gem falls to us in the second

I love him as a player and for his character, but the future looks grim as his health will more than likely trump his aspirations to play, but man oh man, imagine having our arsenal of weapons for Joe be SSS, Perriman, Aiken, Matthews, and hopefully a drafted WR, such as Shepard with Gilmore, Maxx, and Pitta. There would be no way of us going into an offensive drought, especially with Trestman's love of pass oriented offense.

I hate to ever blame games based on flags that are thrown or not, but both of those officiating nightmares did cost us, especially when the receiver engaged Hill first and before the ball even arrived. But the same could have been said in the Denver game when I think it was Stewart who didn't play the ball and a blatant penalty could have been called. Let us not also forget the worst Offensive pass interference in the history of the NFL during the Miami game that cost us a TD or the turf monster in San Fran lol

I really hope we don't take Stanley

Me either! he isn't a sexy pick and might end up being a top LT, but so many analysts have him going between #6 and as far down as #18, that just doesn't sound like a coveted top 10 player. He is well rounded, but I want an immediate game changer, especially since it is more than likely that KO will leave without even receiving an offer and we will attempt to see if Monroe can stay healthy....highly unlikely lol
