Pre Combine Mock w/ Trade

4 posts in this topic

I don’t believe that Jalen Ramsey will be available. So Ozzie does not want to waste the 6th overall pick on a player not worthy of it. So he sends our 6th overall pick to the LA Rams, for their 1st (15th Overall), 2nd (43rd Overall), and their other 2nd (45th Overall) Picks. You might be asking "Why would the Rams do that?" that is because, I do not believe that there will be a QB taken top 5, and if that is the case, then the Rams will want to move up and grab the best QB in the draft. Whom ever they think that might be. With that being said. With the 15th pick in the 2016 NFL draft, the Baltimore Ravens select...

1st (Rams): Noah Spence, OLB, Eastern Michigan, (6-3 254lbs)

2nd: Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor, (5-10 190lbs)

2nd (Rams): Darron Lee, ILB, Ohio State, (6-1 235lbs)

2nd (Rams): Xavien Howard, CB, Baylor, (6-1 200lbs)

3rd: Jordan Howard, RB, Indiana, (6-1 225lbs)

4th: Jihad Ward, DE, Illinois, (6-5 296lbs)

4th (Gradkowski): Willie Beavers, OT, Western Michigan, (6-5 324lbs)

4th (Comp): Morgan Burns, CB/RS, Kansas State, (5-11 195lbs)

5th (Comp): D.J. Reader, DT, Clemson, (6-3 340lbs)

5th (Comp): Demarcus Robinson, WR, Florida, (6-1 204lbs)

6th: Mike Matthews, OC, Texas A&M, (6-2 294lbs)

UDFA:

John Robertson, QB, Villanova, (6-1 221 lbs)

Devin Fuller, WR/RS, UCLA, (6-0 194lbs)

Aaron Morris, OG, Ole Miss, (6-5 311 lbs)

Nick Mangieri, OLB, Indiana, (6-5 270lbs)

Antonio Glover, FS, Georgia Southern, (6-0 179lbs)

I like the first two picks.   But no way beavers last till the 4th round.   Also,  I think 3rd is way too early for a position we have a lot of depth at (rb)

Rams likely don't make that trade. A qb likely goes top 5 and it's likely goff to the browns. Coleman could be the first wr taken after the combine results. Darron Lee has no place as a starter on this team and could be a wasted pick that high. I personally think this draft has way too many unrealistic expectations and darron Lee in the 2nd would legitimately annoy me if it happened

In a realistic trade scenario, I could see a team like Philly , LA, or even Houston giving up their second and a 4th or later rd pick to move up, but let us be realistic, Cam Newton or Andrew luck are not in this draft slipping to #6 lol. But the more I watch Spence and see his abilities, he is looking more and more like a top 10 guy
