That's very impressive for a defensive end/outside linebacker prospect. If only he could test well in the shuttle and cone drills.

he looks very good today to be honest. his tapes arent so good but the kid got the skills

U can say the same thing about his 40 time and his game speed.

I wasnt impressed by his game speed, he was better than his level of competition but not by much. I think he's a touch more fluid than his peers, either that or they're all very stiff.

Gotta feel for Jaylon Smith.  Seems like such a good kid.

I was thinking he'd be a target in the second round, but with some teams removing him from their boards all together, have to wonder if he'll even be a day two guy.

gotta wonder the way the contracts are handed because of draft situations... some teams would try to wait and see if he falls... great talent but in todays nfl they need their 1st rounders to contribute right away. not a lot of teams are willing to wait 1 year.

I hope it's not a Marcus Lattimore situation.

The last sentences is exactly right. If an injury will not keep you off the field for more than a few weeks, a team will take you (Todd Gurley). However, if that injury is gonna cost you the entire first year of your professional career, you're gonna take a big slide (Colvin, Lattimer, Ekpre-Olomu).

In other words, you haven't seen his OS tape or games

Decent time by Fackrell at 4.72.

and man great time by Floyd at 4.60 no surprise there wouldn't mind if he fell to the second but doubt he does.

Disappointed a bit in Spence time. 4.80? I expected better honestly. I'm not a big 40 yard dash kinda guy but I did expect a better time from him

Incorrect.

Then we didn't see the same, definitely. He was the best OS defender his sophomore year and very dominant vs lesser competition while at Eastern Kentucky. I get it, you don't rate him high but everything seen so far points at him as the best pure edge rusher in this class.

Worth noting that Spence's 10-yard was 1.62, which was as fast as, say, Travis Feeney (who ran a 4.5 40). And only .02 off from what Leonard Floyd ran 10 yards in.

We can respectfully disagree as long as you don't put words in my mouth again. I don't mince words, these are my observations and I try to be objective and not impose them.

Deion Jones has god awful form in the 40 and still getting 4.6, if only the guy had more power he'd be higher rated.

Chris Jones' 40 is the best moment of the combine ever, I'm pretty sure.  I was laughing so hard that I was crying.

Yeah, poor guy. Hey, at least we know he'll go all out. :P

I heard that Spence is coming off as shaky In his interviews; if this is the truth you can forget him.

Or in the second, seems more and more plausible with his average combine

Spence coming off shaky on his interviews and unimpressive performance today. According to NFL network they said a lot of teams are saying he isn't first round worthy. I see is picking him up in the second round.

If he's interviewing badly I wouldn't take him any higher than the 3rd round.

Travis Feeney has impressed me today, not someone I was looking at much before but I may take another look. Guy needs to add weight of course but he brings speed to the table and he's looking smooth so far in position drills.

What did Dadi Nicolas weigh in at? 41' vertical is really good

235 and he only got 14 reps on the bench, showing potential and athleticism though

Sad to say but Spence is most likely out of contention for the top half of the 1st. Be interesting to see how parts of the combine affected his stock and what's the outcome of those interviews. Not sure if hell have a pro day. I still think there will be few teams willing to pull the trigger in first round.
