Chris Jones' 40 is the best moment of the combine ever, I'm pretty sure.  I was laughing so hard that I was crying.

Very impressive. Haven't watched any tape on him, might have to take a look.

He's pretty bad, thats why he's not a big name. But he might have a better weight to speed ratio than Clowney.

Good 49 time for Spence, he's like a perfect match for this team. Nice measurements too.

I just dont the see the athletic ability to warrant picking at 6.

I'm thinking that 40 could hurt Spence. His game is predicated much by speed atm and running that is certainly disappointing. Comparatively speaking, other prospects have fallen before for the same and they're better talents than Spence. Combined with his character issues, it's possible he falls to the second now.

Even with his rise after the senior bowl I thought it was possible he could still fall, I'd gladly take him in the second but I could never buy into the hype about him going at 6.

That's fair if you never saw him at 6. I think it made some sense and still do but that's because of how iffy this draft class is. It's certainly not bad but there's a lot of level talent after a few select players. I think Spence goes in the mid first to early second range.

If Spence had a power edge to his game like Suggs then a 4.8 is acceptable.

Shaq Lawsons numbers are surprising, I thought he would time like Courtney Upshaw.

Ogbah is having himself a pretty nice day.  His tape still brings along some big question marks, but he certainly has the athleticism to improve.

Benchpress:

Suggs 19 times

Spence 25 times

Suggs was awful in the combine. His 4.8 40 time was arguably the best thing about him.

There's quite a few guys I like in the later rounds, I'd be happy with Yannik or Alex Mccallister or even Ochi.

McCaliste could be a great project but he seems so far and very very very raw. To be honest the more I see Okwara today, the more I like him. Very young and his feet follows his legs. Nice agility and football moves. He just doenst have the football experience to use his skills yet. I think he fits as a great UDFA pick up.

I guarantee you Spence will never reach Suggs play strength, he doesn't have it in him

Joey bosa's interview make him seem so uninterested. Makes you wonder if he got the drive to want to be great at the next level.

Maybe, but the only strength that is messurable is how much they can bench and 25 is pretty good, actually.

This.
People are trying to read too much into any combine number.
Ogbah ran faster than Spence and Ochi.. on film he's a slug.
Fackrell benchpressed 15 times.. Spence 10 more.. but did you see the difference in the power generated while punching the opponents?
As I wrote in another post, I think the dash and bench press, more than any other drill, should merely indicate a player's shape.
Btw I really like DJ Reader.. very underrated.. you can't single-block him without getting pushed all the way back. He reminds me a little of Terry Williams last year.

Maybe. Suggs isn't just any player. But how can you guarantee that?

Every time I watch Bosa interview it reminds me of Ricky Bobby, it's not his strong suit lol not that it matters.  Not much of a surprise but he said we interviewed him, his numbers weren't bad but worse than I thought, wonder if it effects his stock at all.

I'm convinced by what I've seen. The original point was that Spence isn't stout at the point and doesnt have ideal athleticism, the counter argument is that he benched more than Suggs, I say it's a poor indication of play strength.

Wow! Ogbah just ran 4.65!

That's very impressive for a defensive end/outside linebacker prospect. If only he could test well in the shuttle and cone drills.

U can say the same thing about his 40 time and his game speed.
