I'm just trying to put myself in Ozzie's shoes man! And Henry is from Alabama and close to unstoppable when he gets going and in the AFC North? Perfect!

He won't be unstoppable when NFL front sevens are making slimmer gaps that move and close faster than what he saw in Bama. Henry Looks to me like a poor man's Brandon Jacobs and he actually is not as unstoppable as he may appear. Let vontaze burfict crack him in the ribs one time while he runs standing straight up and Henry won't be looking so tough anymore lol.

Upright runners just fail so often in the NFL And while concerns over Alabama prospects are overblown, the cocnerns over the rbs are very real.

The only Henry I'd consider getting in the 2nd is Hunter Henry. Though we really don't need another TE.

My favorite combo is still Jack and Thompson

I know Thompson had a rough combine but I still think he is going to be a good starter in this league.

This.  Wrote out a response about Hunter before realizing the guy was talking about Derrick Henry.

I would do backflips but I don't envision him falling that far, not even close.

You got seattle, cinci, GB, az, cleveland, dallas, and Jacksonville picking before our 2nd pick, thats just off the top of my head, he wont make it past all of that lol

He didn't exactly "light it up" during the combine and alot depends on how he interviewed with the teams. There have been mixed reports. I agree, that it is an ideal scenario, but it's not outrageous to assume that it could happen.

No on Thompson. To slow. We have enough safety's.

We really dont have enough safetys our only viable starter is Hill everyone else hasnt cemented them into the spot. I believe coming pro day we will hear that he did well just had a rough combine the guy is a ball hawk

We have way too many major holes on our roster to draft Henry in the 2nd imo. I don't even think he's a home run of a prospect at an already devalued position. There's nothing wrong with Forsett as the starter and Henry doesn't even present a clear upgrade, the running game will live and die by our OL either way.

Imagine if we double-dipped at pass-rusher and got both Lawson and Dodd. Your thoughts?

I think the roster has too many holes to double dip at any one position in rounds 1 and 2 unless it was an extreme scenario of BPA (Example: Bosa in round 1 and Spence in round 2 or Buckner in round 1 and Nkemdiche in round 2), but let's honest it's probably not going to happen. I also see no way that Lawson is the BPA at #6, there's only so many combinations of players that can go in the first 5 picks. We are guaranteed at least one of Tunsil, Ramsey, Bosa, VH3, Jack, Buckner who are all better prospects than Lawson.

Maybe with the rising salary cap, Joe's restructure, and some strategic cuts we can open up enough money to fill some of these holes in FA, but until that becomes a reality we have to assume the holes will still be there when the draft rolls around. The issue with discussing particulars of the draft this early is we don't know what will happen in FA, if we can somehow add a quality player or two at any of CB, OL, WR, DL, OLB that will give us added flexibility with our draft picks. I do feel confident saying Lawson won't be in play at #6, Eric said they pretty much have it narrowed down to 2 players so it's almost certainly 2 guys in the group that I named previously.

Mark my words we'll have 2 first round picks this year. Pick at 6 then trade in the 20's for our earliest fourth rounder and our 2nd round pick. My picks: Ramsey/Jack/ Bosa, and for the second pick: Jackson lll/ Doctson/Apple/Spence.

Any of those combos would be awesome, my favorite would be Jack and Apple but would also really like

Ramsey-Spence

Jack- Doctson

well he might and probably will miss the season but his talent is that good that its really hard to pass up the guy in round 2.

unless there are doubts he will ever play again i guess.

both of them with mosley would gives us the most athletic and dynamic lber core the NFL might ever see lel

1) Bosa or vh3

2) trade our 2nd and 4th to move into the bottom of the 1st round to get doctson.

It would be awesome if we move back into the first round, but it depends on who we get with our first pick.  Bosa then Eli Apple would make me happy.

I can see Ozzie nail the draft like the Vikes did two years ago with Barr/Teddy. I'll say it again, if we can get Jack and Floyd this way, our defense is not the same.

I would hope we do a hell of a lot better than those two by production comparison.  I would say I hope he nails us something on par with Joe/Rice combo

Maybe he nails this draft like he did with Ray Lewis and Ogden... okay, that might be setting the bar a bit too high.

Two HOFers, two of the best ever at their said position, hows that too high? lol

Although, some people on here act like if he doesn't get those results hes a bum/garbage, etc...

Actually we need a tight end and that is an underrated need. Pitta is likely going to get cut for cap space unless doctors clear him. Gillmore has had multiple surgeries and is expected to miss early training. Boyle is suspended 10 games... Maxx Williams is our only for sure tight end at the moment haha.
