A top rated guard in the second would be a sneaky great move and would keep the interior of the line stout, I like that pick

I really love the idea of Whitehair in the second if he is there...he has some of that versatility Osemele had coming out and should give us a force for the next while at G...and if Eugene Monroe keeps up the injury plague he is one more player with the versatility to have at LT...not that I want him there but I am sure he would be more serviceable than Hurst and may even surprise if forced into the position.

Guard is the last spot that needs addressed on This team. Jensen and urschel have both looked like staring guards in lengthy stretches of play time

Jensen and Wagner are 2017 free agents, so it's possible the Ravens see it as an underrated need.

Ehh good point. Although they strike me as typical resignings. They shouldn't command too much money and the ravens probably won't see them as expendable considering how badly we need to address other areas, they'll wanna use our little bit of cap space to cheaply keep our strong areas together and use the rest of our resources to bolster our weaknesses.

I understand that view and it looks like they would be typical re-signings, but can you count on that after McPhee or Arthur Jones? Guys have blown up here before in their final year. Wagner played great as a second year, had a down third year campaign, and now enters his contract year. That's kinda similar to McPhee. I'd personally look to bolster this OL in a class that's strong with OL talent.

I actually had a strong feeling about both of those guys because they are Also much more coveted players than a guard. A versatile DT and a violent and quick edge rusher get gobbled up quick in FA. I have full confidence that one of urschel or Jensen gets re signed, I think both do But I am all but certain that we retain one.

I see your point though. Definitely a valid one

I personally like Denver Kirkland a lot. Skill set to be a swing guy, very quick and coordinated feet and fluid athlete with good length suggest he would be both a good zone blocker and a potential OT candidate. Him and schobert are 2 of my favorite mid rounders

Definitely on my watch list - I mocked him to Ravens in 3rd but that could be too optimistic.

Dude played guard then started entire senior season at tackle and more than held his own. More importantly, he passes the eye test. I think he is really underrated.

Great point, we always have the worst luck with our players in contract years lol still blows my mind we let go of McPhee

I don't see a lot of sites predicting success for Kirkland, at least not at left tackle.  I am seeing concerns about his coordination, balance, and translating his size into meaningful power.  I could see him adding depth at Guard, but not at tackle.   I think a lot of teams are going to copycat Denver's defense, and bulking guys like Kirkland aren't going to be able to keep up on the edges.

Here is a name a lot of people probably aren't paying attention too. William Jackson III CB out of Houston could possibly be the second best Corner in the draft. I only watched 3 game films of him but honest opinion is he really reminds me of Bradley Roby/Jimmy Smith. How would you feel about Noah Spence, William Jackson III with the first 2 picks?

I love me some William Jackson. He is a day 1 starter and has pro bowl potential. I'd take him over Fuller and apple without question. I may want to change my mock for him in the 2nd

Would love the Ravens to grab Jackson in the 2nd and address WR in the 3rd whether that be Shepard or Higgins

I'm telling you this dude is legit. Him a cross from Jimmy could be equal to having McAlister and Rolle. Hope we can get him in the second round.

Wish I could see more tape of him though. But from what I seen, he is a future star with the right coaching. Leslie Frazier would do wonders with him.

Yea it would be great timing with the arrival of Frazier. FWIW, on Reuter's 4 round mock today he had Jackson going the Dolphins in the 2nd so I'm not sure if he would be a trade back nor trade up target for the 2nd. If we went for him we would probably have to take him with our 2nd pick which I am all about

I think it was with Flex that I discussed about Jackson. I like the Jimmy comparison, he's got that same physical style but not overly agressive FWIW. He has some ball skils too.

I still think I would prefer Apple over Jackson. Will have to watch some more tapes, but I've seen WJ3 lucky against FSU that the QB didn't throw it deeper, what should have been a TD turned into an INT.

Overall I really like WJ3 with our 2nd, Jack being my first. Boy would our defense progress with those two paired with Jimmy and CJ...

I really would like Ramsey, Bosa, or Buckner to fall to us in the 1st with the 2nd pick with us taking Doctson out of TCU. I think wide receiver is a very big need and I know we need to upgrade our aging defense with the first pick but we also need to keep in mind that we need a wide receiver on offense as well.

Im a huge fan of Jackson, he could be the most instinctive corner in the class. I'm sure he'll thrive at CB but I could really see him playing well at safety, maybe a Rod Woodson type guy who moves to safety later in his career.

DE Ogbah is falling. Every mock draft has him no going in the second round in the mid 40s

im honestly not sure id even want him there. he was a hot name around here but once people started to dig in the crates it became obvious what he was... a college level bully and nothing more. i dont think he has the consistent first step or the handfighting to be a NFL DE and i know for a fact he doesnt have the flexible hips to drop his pad level and rush as an OLB. he actually is VERY similar to shawn oakman except he comes off more as an edge rusher than a DL

Don't want him either was hopeing that he would be picked some time before our pick in the second. One less spot towards someone falling to us that should be a first rounder.

I agree in every facet other than the Oakman comp. He's not as athletic as him. Good point otherwise and I agree. Once I watched him I realized his first step I once thought was great wasn't that great. Disappointing really.

He definitely looked a lot better in the midst of the game than when you have the opportunity to really focus on him.
