Write up about Campanaro & 2014 WR Class

Not trying to be a stickler here,  but per forum rules,  If you post a link your suppose to give an opinion on it and say something at least what it was about,  hadhad no idea what I was clicking.

That being said.  No one here denies camp can't be one hell of a slot receiver,  just ask Winchester.   Problem will always be health.   But I hope this article is right,  then we wouldnt have to worry much about wrs

All good.   And I really hope camp. Can finally stay healthy,  ever since we drafted him I've been excited to see what he can do.   I have no doubt I'd he played 16 games we all would be impressed,  the only thing is,  CAN he

I agree I hope Camp can put up some nice numbers the potential is there while after this year the numbers should improve once SSS retires as of now Camp is probably no better than our 4th right now after SSS Perriman and Aiken. So the main goal is health this year not so much the stats

I think he is on IR within 8 games next year.

Honestly Camp has  never received a injury that required him to miss the entire season.  Last year he was only place on i.r due to unfortunate situation since Steve Smith was hurt  and The Ravens refuse to place Perriman on i.r due to hope of him playing.

(Don't know if the expression exists in english) I'll put a coin on him, he's a smart guy and he understand what he has to do, he said he's been working on it. He ended up on IR last season while it was more of a 3-4 games injury, not a season ending one. We all agree about this kid playmaking ability, when he's on the field, he stands out.

SSSr won't play every down next season, so Camp will get plenty of opportunities.

Still been a consistent thing for him, and if he can't shake that, he won't be here much longer.  He may not have the long-term injuries, but he consistently has something going on.

Most excited ive ever been for a 7th round pick.  Not just because we were out of picks and traded the following year pick for him (always exciting when you go from awww no more picks to wooo one more!).  Pro bowl talent? maybe, as a featured slot receiver I could see it, but like everyone else knows, your talent means nothing if you cant stay on the field

nothing tells me he has changed himself.

i wouldn't be surprised if this whole conversation disappears once we draft ANYONE above 3rd round @ draft on WR position.

I love what Camp can do when he is on the field, but of course he has to be on the field to make plays. We can talk about his potential all day, but he has to stay healthy.

I think he can be a real playmaker for us as a slot WR and gadget player. I'm hoping he can stay healthy because it will be a big boost for the offense.

Loved Camp's play at Wake, hoped he would end up a Raven and was blown away when we snagged him at the end of the draft. He's a play maker. But............

Hope he can stay healthy.

Im a fan of the guy.

I don't know if he will play 16+ games but I am pretty confident those games he plays he will be productive.

I really like Campanaro and he's a pretty solid WR, when he's on the field. That's the thing, those last couple of words pretty much sums up what has happened with him so far. This really sucks because pre-draft I was a fan of Campanaro and liked the idea of having him here, I did not expect us to actually get him, but I was and still am a Michael Campanaro fan, but if he wants to break out, he'll have to make it past training camp because he just cannot stay healthy. I would really hate for us to cut him because he can be really good.

I'd be very surprised if Givens is re-signed for competition much less makes the team.  I'd also be very shocked if we don't address the position in FA or the draft as well.

I doubt Givens makes it before Camp.  Too much potential there for him not to have another chance.

Completely agree.

Camp could be a 80 reception guy if he could stay healthy, but I'd be absolutely shocked if he suits up for 16 games ever. His injury history I believe dates all the way back to high school. He didn't fall to the 7th because of any kind of meaaurables, it was because of injuries. If he could have stayed healthy in college he's a 3rd rounder at the absolute worst

Camp has the goods no doubt, it's simply a matter of staying healthy which has been easier said than done. He has a smaller frame like Amendola so durability is always seemingly going to be an issue at the NFL level.

I do foresee a breakout year for Camp in 2016 though, he's been in the league long enough to learn how to take care of his body and limit injuries so hopefully he can take that experience and put together at least a 14+ game season next year. Amendola has played 12 or more games in 5/7 seasons so there's hope that Camp can stay relatively healthy going forward.

I guess we will see how serious Harbs is about not keeping a bunch of project players on the roster next year.

After last year we should have a pretty good idea of the actual value for each and every player on our roster.

If/when a starter gets injured next year there should be no question as to how his backup will perform.

Wasn't too sure Camp had a place in the offense with Trestman running the show, but the few games he did play it was clear the Ravens had plans for Camp and his role would only become bigger and bigger. It sucks that he can't stay healthy but If the Ravens can draft a guy like Sterling Shepard it'd definitely open the offense up and probably leave Camp on the outside looking in healthy or not.

I'm rooting for the guy to stay healthy, but his limited action the last 2 years has opened the Ravens eyes to the impact a explosive slot guy can have in this offense and I don't think they'll wait on Camp to prove he can be that guy.

Me either. No return on investment when needed. Bad call to reach back into draft that year after failing miserably to address the position sooner in the draft. Stark reminder that they didn't envision the Offense as needing an upgrade or payed attention t the growing trend. If you can't score as many points as your opponent you won't win either.

It all comes down to health. Camp has definitely shown flashes of his potential then he seems to get hurt and not for just a game or two but IR type of hurt.

Keep in mind when Camp got hurt this past season, it was well publicised this was NOT  I.R. worthy but they had to make roster room.

I dont think thats the issue.  Its just that there is always something wrong with him.

Sidenote, where is Winchester?  this is right up his alley to drop the "i told you so"

I always take a wait and see approach with unproven Ravens wrs. Baltimore just isn't  proven with that position.

Camp, specifically, is injured every day of his life so even though he has had explosive moments, I can't get excited.

Hey, I am the owner of ffcouchcoach.com - I really appreciate you dropping that link in here man.  I did a guest spot on the Football Diehards Podcast a couple weeks ago where I said you Ravens fans should be very excited.

You guys have some very nice talent on offense... get ready to have an explosive 2016!
