Tony Pauline saying he's hearing the Cowboys want Ogbah, and the Chiefs want Mack Alexander.

I'm not surprised by either of those projections. I thought Alexander would fall late 2nd early 3rd. I'd love to trade up ahead of the Chiefs to steal Alexander from them like they took Peters ahead of us last year.

I'm guessing they were afraid that the Giants were going to take him.

I think it was a second and a 3rd, one was a future pick not sure which one.

This conversation made me realize how concerned I am about middle linebacker.  No wonder I like Ragland too much, Cravens too.  But I don't think we take either in the second.

I can actually see us moving to more of a 4-3 base but with a lot of nickle and dime sub packages. If we happen to get Scooby in tomorrow's draft then I will be happy but we have more concerns with our 2nd and 3rd pick.

The scouts loved him, he was going higher than anticipated.

maybe not, I had Conklin going to the Raiders in my mock.

I think Conklin was grossly underrated here. He's a very good OT. I'm not surprised the Titans traded up because he's really talented.

Myles Jack is pouting, apparently he's going to watch the remainder of the draft from his hotel. For such a talented defensive player he has a flaky psyche.

He's not the only one. Apparently Dodd is watching from his hotel room too.

Show some compassion & sympathy. I don't blame him for not wanting to be at the draft. I think what you're saying is over looking something very minimal and irrelevant. Whoever picks this kid is going to get a player that is going to play with a desire & passion to prove that he deserved to be pick in the 1st round regardless of his knee. I understand the risk & the precautions, but in comparison to someone like Tunsil and his shenanigans. I would still bet my money on Jack.

I agree that we should have some compassion, BUT this the draft is a once in a lifetime dream for anyone who is lucky enough to be talented to go to the NFL, even if they are mid round selections.  He needs to live it up and stay tough.  Same with Dodd, who some had in the 2nd round anyway.

I had two drafts.  One where I had trades and had the Raiders staying at 14 and selecting Conklin.  The one where I had no trades had them taking WJ3.  I had 8 teams getting the pick correctly and one pick going in the same selection but to a different team.  Ifedi at #31 I  had going to the Broncos.

When life gets tough you either face it or run and hide, so what happens when it's snowing and we're down and the game has ground down to a test of willpower? is Ben going to show compassion and sympathy? is Brady?

They're not even similar situations. Coming up with all this hypothetical rubbish just to try and make a negative point about him.

Thats not hypothetical thats whats going to happen this season and every single one after it, just like his knee is going to deteriorate. Besides he's not a Raven so he doesn't need a white knight, we don't have to agree.

You're trying to make out like he'll bottle it against the likes of Brady and Ben just because he chose not to stay in Chicago tonight. Got nothing better to do?

Last time I checked he was still available and we are the 5th team picking, most likely a QB is going, Dodd and maybe a Corner. There is still a very good chance he ends up a Raven and if that's the case we just won the draft.

Subjective 20% chance we get a linebacker with a knee that is slowly destroying itself, and he's throwing his toys because he didn't go in the first round.

I think it's more embarrament of sitting there the entire 1st round with your hopes up of getting drafted by a team. I think he knew he would slip out of the top 10 but no way did he think he would fall out of the 1st round. This will only put a bigger chip on his shoulder to go out and prove he is a player that should of went in the 1st round. I for one hopebwe do whatever it takes to draft him because I believe he will be an all-star and in the running for DPOY, especially on our team.

Who says he's throwing his toys? He obviously just wants to go and spend the night with the rest of his family and friends.

All plausible. I still think he has quitter traits but the real issue is the knee, but hey if he falls to us and Flacco's window is 5 years then maybe he's worth drafting.
