Myles Jack admitted the knee issues are there and admitted microfracture surgery could be in his future. He said if he played just three years in the league, it'd be above average.

Here is Matt Miller's final mock draft: http://bleacherreport.com/nfl

A couple of takeaways:

Su'a Cravens goes one pick before the Ravens third and Mackenzie Alexander is the second to last pick in the second. He also has Kendall Fuller going in the fourth.

If Cravens was within three or four picks of the Ravens third, I'd have to believe they'd trade up, possibly even for Alexander. I'd also find it hard to believe they'd pass on Kendall Fuller. The ideal draft would be Tunsil-Spence-Trade up for Cravens-Fuller.

Agreed.

In watching NFLN this morning, the Chargers really want to get better along their line, specifically in run blocking. I think Tunsil is there guy, sadly.

I can't even see Fuller or Alexander falling that far in the first place, but he talks to a lot of scouts and execs, so he must know something we do not.

I think one of them may. Alexander is a smaller CB and he has those hamstring issues and concerns surrounding a lack of interceptions. Apparently NFL GMs and talent evaluators place a heavy emphasis on takeaways, so that's probably it for Alexander. As for Fuller, I'm guessing the knee? He was cleared, so I'm not sure why. Could be a smokescreen.

We will not truly know until tomorrow night. I think that's when both get taken.

That's the kind of second round that has people on here talking about trading back in the first.  Just sayin'.

I think the key is Dallas not pulling a fast one. We need to maneuver in this draft. Trade bait is hot and heavy. I'd move back as far as 15 and grab 4 first rounders. In a new YORK minute. Off to work…………..Come on Ravens give a nice present for Christmas and bless us with a happy New Year…..;):06:B)

I saw somewhere on B/R.com previously that Spence most likely will fall into the second and then I saw later that a defensive coach all but guaranteed the Ravens will take Spence with 36.

If we have to choose between Spence and Alexander at thirty Freakin' six, then we should have gotten more draft picks.  Seriously.  A few months ago we were talking about those two at #6.

Doesn't mean that it isn't a smokescreen. We will surely know here in about 8 hours, but Twitter is full of lies around this time of year.

I think that's more a product of overhype than them acutally being worth that pick.

Are the Chargers putting out these rumors? Probably not. This is all speculation on behalf of the media. Unless I see a report about the Chargers liking Stanley more than Tunsil, it's all going to be media speculation. Odd that Tunsil is the guy up until about two or three days before the draft, right?

It still could be a smokescreen, but SD also holds the cards and doesn't really have to throw any shade.  They're essentially the #1 overall pick.  No one to hide their intentions from.

I agree.  I think they've both dropped a little too low though; they probably should both be going in the 1st round.

Point is still the same:  starters at a position of need that we would have been happy with at greater cost.

There's a little bit of a lemming effect in any kind of market though (financial markets, stock markets, drafts, etc).   Technically, two teams have already passed on him, and the Titans had a legitimate need.  Then two more teams are going to take QBs while he's on the board.  That's enough to create pessimism, even though nothing has actually changed.

It's coming from other GMs

Philly won't take him and it's unlikely SD would go with any defensive player other than Buckner

On what premise?

The only GM in this case that matters is the Chargers GM, but like I said, we'll know in about 8 hours. Could be a ploy to try to have Tunsil drop for them.

Oh yeah for sure.  There just seems to be a resounding confidence in Stanley going to SD.  A lot of the heavy hitter draft analysts are even expressing extreme confidence in it.

They might go with Stanley then. Stanley is the better run blocker. Tunsils strength is pass blocking.

When I watched Stanley's tape he actually seemed very soft in his run blocking IMO. I never really saw him making big blocks in the second level, or finish blocks.

Also working in Stanley's favor 39 Starts between left and right tackle plus hes clean on and off the field.

Peter Schrager is saying it's between Buckner and Stanley for San Diego, and between Ramsey and Elliott for the Cowboys.  The Jags are now the wildcard with Jack's knee.

I wouldn't be surprised to see SD go Stanley when you consider he is durable (King Dunlap is not and that may scare SD with Tunsil) and has no off the field issues. We shall see.

Jags will sprint up the the podium with Ramsey on the board
