we all know the FO are very stealth like when they make moves

anybody hearing anything other than mike wallace( do not need excess money for him)

Might be a way to free up money to sign one of our own. Brandon Williams?

Pees at Clemson pro day via bleacher report

So that means he is interested in Lawson or Dodd possibly.

Not Alexander?

I don't see any of those three being in play at 6 or 36.   Maybe he's looking at their safeties for later in the draft?

If no QB's are taken above us we could end up trading down, Lawson and Dodd are rock solid prospects.

Possibly Alexander. I actually think Alexander will fall to the second round because of not participating at the combine as well as other corners like Jackson rising up.

Well I think that's the answer:  if Alexander wasn't at the combine then yeah, defensive coordinators are going to his pro day.  I'm sure that's it.  Also, I would love him in the second round.  That seems too good to be true.

I'm doing some digging in another tab.  TJ Green is not ready to help us at safety, but he sure is an intriguing project if we get him on day 3.  6'2", 209lbs, 4.34 40.  Just not enough experience at the position yet.

His pro day likely eliminates those concerns lol

At this point Alexander could be anywhere from mid 1st to mid 2nd.

I will NOT be lured into the false dreams of getting both VH3 and Alexander.

But that would be nice.

No it wouldn't. We need something else on the team, not just corners.

If we were going to pick the same position with the first two picks, corners is the easiest way to do it.

Offensive line:  Hurst replaces KO, Jensen moves to tackle behind Monroe.
Wide Receiver:  we're shopping for free agents.  A guy like Higgins or Shepard should be there in the third.  We get Perriman back.
Safety:  Webb moves to free safety full time if we do this.  That seemed to be an upgrade over Lewis.
Pass Rusher:  I like the guys in the 4th round:  Schobert, Yannick, or Ochi should be available.

We get one or two more medium free agents, and keep all our picks, and we could still do it.  I'm not saying it plays out exactly like this.  Just pointing out that it wouldn't be the end of our season if we got both VH3 and Hargreaves.

Hurst moves to LT? Please don't say this ever again.

....KO is a left guard... Hurst replaces KO.  At left guard.  The very next phrase is "Jensen moves to TACKLE behind Monroe".

C'mon guys.

Jensen is an even worse idea at LT than Hurst, we can't let Monroe go at this point even at 80% he's at least serviceable.

I'm really confused why "Jensen moves to tackle behind Monroe" is such a difficult sentence for everyone.  That means we still have Monroe.  Jensen would be the backup "behind" him.

I do think Jensen has the athleticism to play left tackle, but not the experience.  I think letting him focus on just that spot in camp (instead of moving him around) would benefit him, and help us with finding a long term answer at LT.  We still have Urschel as a backup on the inside.  Not great, but I think it could work if we don't find a lineman we like between now and then.

I shutter at the thought of Hurst on the field in any capacity whatsoever.

I remember when we all thought he was a brilliant UDFA pickup and everyone wanted him in the 6th or 7th lolololol

Well there's still rumors that we're chasing Beachum in free agency.  So you might not have to think about it.

What surprised me about this conversation is how we're only a few guys away from not having any roster gaps going into the draft.  Round 1 and 2 could both be pure BPA.  I like having that flexibility.

Browns are interested in trading for caepernick along with two other teams. If the Browns are serious, they have a lot to offer San Fran who is purported to be asking for a two in return

Ah I see. Sorry. Still operating under how KO played LT last year. PTSD started coming back after the nightmare that was Hurst at LT.

Still, I'm not sure I want Hurst here let alone as a starting LG. I'd rather put Urschel at LG or if we put Urschel at center then I'd prefer Zuttah at LG before Hurst ever again. Hurst shouldn't be cleaning cleats lol

I don't think it's the worst idea (Jensen at LT) but I'd prefer others. Still, to your point, Jensen played LT in preseason so maybe.

I have three screens up so I didn't read your post properly. Hurst at guard and Jensen at tackle doesn't make sense, Hurst lacks anchor to play inside and Jensen lacks the length and footwork to play LT.
