3 Mock Drafts...Kinda

15 posts in this topic

I got a little lazy and decided to keep my 4th, 5th, and 6th rounds the same. I truly believe the Ravens will part ways with canty. If that is the case, DE becomes a bigger need. We can still get pass rush from a DE. A defensive front with Suggs, Buckner, Williams, Jernigan and Dumervil looks scarier than Suggs, urban, Williams, Jernigan and dumervil. Even if we had a young OLD like spence, he would only be on the field part time while a DE like Buckner will likely hop right into the starting lineup early on. That's just my opinion, everyone has one. Please don't hesitate to share yours. Tell me what you think and I will adjust. This is with no trades and is getting 2 4th round comps and a 5th rounder. I think any 3 of these options would be great.

1st-Deforest Buckner-DE
2nd-Eli Apple-CB
3rd-Braxton Miller-WR
4th-Yannick Ngakoue-OLB
4th-Karl Joseph-SS
4th-Avery Young-OT
4th-Cyrus Jones-CB/RS
5th-Tyler Matakevich-ILB
6th-Graham Glasgow-OC

1st-Vernon Hargreaves III-CB
2nd-Tyler Boyd-WR
3rd-Adolphus Washington-DE
4th-Yannick Ngakoue-OLB
4th-Karl Joseph-SS
4th-Avery Young-OT
4th-Cyrus Jones-CB/RS
5th-Tyler Matakevich-ILB
6th-Graham Glasgow-OC

1st-Laquon Treadwell-WR
2nd-Carl Nassib-DE
3rd-Will Redmond-CB
4th-Yannick Ngakoue-OLB
4th-Karl Joseph-SS
4th-Avery Young-OT
4th-Cyrus Jones-CB/RS
5th-Tyler Matakevich-ILB
6th-Graham Glasgow-OC

I wasn't aware offensive coordinaters declared for the draft nowadays ^_^
That being said, I think I would prefer the first one - but maybe taking Sterling Shepard instead of Miller. Do you think Braxton will pan out as a legitimate threat at WR?

I like all three the first 4 picks are exactly the positions we need to take the order I think will depend on how the first 5 picks shake out. Love Cyrus Jones and Tyler Matakevich(two of my favorite prospects in this draft.) The 3rd one I like the least and I am pretty much even on the first two, but I don't see Miller making it to the 3rd round. I think he will perform really well at the combine and his stock is going to skyrocket, probably early second to even late first if a team feels they can take that sort of risk. Also with him the 40 is going to be important, but I have a feeling the gauntlet will make or brake him, just a gut feeling.

OC is the designated position that is given to him on other mocks. I was under the assumption that it stood for Offensive Center, but I could be wrong. And about miller, he isn't me out right go to guy. I think he has a lot of potential and a year behind a guy like Steve smith would help him a lot. I feel like he is a boom or bust player. He is either great or a waste of a draft pick. He did well at the senior bowl and if he out performs other recievers at the combine, he could easily end up in the second round. Some believe he could even push his way into the first. All in all, this is just for fun. The combine will change a lot and I will do plenty more of these. Miller is insanely athletic. I see him as a bigger tavon Austin. He can take hand offs, he can catch, and I know he has a bad shoulder, but we could even have him throw it on trick plays. I think there is a lot of upside with him but he would definitely be a risk.

I would be happy with the 1st mock. I really like Avery young! He's a road grader... He blocked a DT in the senior bowl for at least 6-7 yards. I also would like vadal Alexander.

The more and more I think about it I hope the first 5 picks go as Walter Football predicts:

1. Titans- Tunsil

2. Browns- Wentz

3. Chargers- Bosa

4. Cowboys- Jack

5. Jaguars- Buckner

Then at 6 we grab Ramsey. The more I watch of him the more I like him.

The first one was the best by a mile! I am on the Buckner express 100%, and Apple has a lot of upside if he were to slide to us in the second rd, which could happen if Ramsey, HG3, Alexander, and Fuller all go ahead of him.

I love that Mock Draft! If we got Ramsey or Buckner at #6 I'd be a happy camper, especially because both could immediately hit the field. I just hope that Pees gets creative with Ramsey if we do take him, some kind of three safety scheme would be great.

Yea and I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility because the titans need a tackle, Browns need a QB obviously, Chargers probably go BPA and that is more than likely Bosa especially after what happened with Von Miller not saying hes him, but this is a copycat league, Cowboys could go several different ways, but as long as that's not Ramsey or Buckner doesn't really matter and Jaguars need pass rush along with secondary, but I think they take Buckner and pair him with Fowler and get someone like Weddle in free agency because I believe they have a good amount of money to spend.

Essentially the top 3 picks almost seem like they're cemented. Wat the Cowboys and Jags do is what is and will continue to be a mystery. I'd bet that the Cowboys will find a way to break our hearts again like they did when they stole Dez from us.
